"Lets not talk about this" by canweplease There’s nothing so insignificant As the little bits not eaten at breakfast Like we were all mice dancing around In masks and clothes we couldn't understand… Until red fish with wisdom and gills Taught us all to be brave and not cry At the dentist. I really want to learn, I really need to know How to be hurt and never show that we really don’t- Trust that damn red fish. I need to leave I need to leave I need to get out! LET ME OUT! The glass and walls shouldn't be all around me because These walls… they suck! But he keeps saying Things like “the war is over” and “I love you”. I don’t think it’s true, I don’t think it’s true at all, But then I remember that it doesn't matter Because I like how he holds me… it’s nice Nicer than being alone. And then, above a city made of spaghetti and bad plots I'm taken to the top of something and I stare. An idol to the god of pig, a sad mask and some- Audiences clapping like they liked it. It feels like the dentist and I'm crying tears To make the spaghetti soft so that it’s ready for dinner. And the bad plots are never over In the city that breaks us all.
