    Woo Hoo! Unexpected fortunate event!

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by LordKyleOfEarth, Jan 31, 2011.

The local newspaper is running a small contest looking for outstanding examples of love and the top picks will be featured in a Valentine's day writeup. My fiancée sent them a write up and a couple scanned pages from the on-going collection of daily love poetry that I write for her. She got an excited call back less than an hour later!

I wasn't expecting to get published for the poems, but now I'm going to be in the paper, with the love of my life, because of them! I'll scan the page and post it up here later, but I'm pretty excited right now!

That's pretty awesome, Kyle! Especially when you weren't even meaning for them to be published someday. Makes them sincere, which is great.

    Cheers, man.

That's really cool, Kyle! :) Nice thing to do of your fiancée, too. You should definitely show the newspaper page.

Awww, that's freakin sweet, Kyle! And also totally adorable. :)

Now I feel remiss for not doing something like that for Joel.
