    Pinterest and writing

Discussion in 'Writing Software and Hardware' started by IsabellaS, Mar 1, 2016.

Something I've discovered, is that pinterest is an amazing tool for writers. There are many great links to writing tips, and it makes visualizing your world and characters much easier. I have boards per series/novel where I've pinned everything from landscapes and buildings to hair-dos and clothes.

Does anyone else here use it actively for such purposes?

I do. I have a board for each of the different settings in my novel.

Ye! In my WIP my characters do some upcycling so the pictures have really inspired some great ideas.

You know, I had not thought of it before, but yes. I suppose subconsciously, I have been using certain things from pinterest as inspiration.

Yes! I got that tip from this board, actually. My novel takes place in another decade and in a city I've never visited. I use Pinterest to immerse myself in the visual symbols of my story. I like to look at it to get into the feeling and mood of the time period and people I'm writing about. I love it :)
