    Writing Prompts

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Insomniac, Dec 12, 2010.

I found this site when I was trying to find writing prompts. I'm not sure how I ended up here, however glad that I am, because there's not a prompt forum. I like to do writing exercises but I can't always think of a topic. Would it be possible to have a daily/weekly prompt forum? I found an idea generator that randomly gives a theme, main character outline and a climax. I think it would be great to compare the outcome with other writers.

What we do have is the "weekly" short story and poetry competitions (the cycle tends to be a bit longer than a week, but still...). In addition to entering the competitions, you can peruse previous offerngs, and the theme suggestion threads.

or, you can start a writing prompt thread yourself, in either the 'general writing' or 'the lounge' section...
