    should I write this book?

Discussion in 'Plot Development' started by darkbeetlebot, Jan 7, 2012.

I have an idea for a book that deals with the ignorance of people and the psychological differences between humans and animals.
good idea? yes? no? maybe? I don't give two shits?

Give us a little more. General plot stuff. Is it nonfiction? Ensamble? I know people here worry about giving away too much, that can be stolen by others, but, hey, you gotta take SOME risk. We're here to share. That's the point. I'm sorry, but I don't understand what the book is about. Not enough to give an opinion, anyway.

I agree with shadowwalker. If you want to write it, write it! The only validation you need is your own enthusiasm.

Maybe. Just don't make it pompous or preachy.

If you have to ask, I'm going to say no. Don't look for validation here. If you want to be a successful artist of any kind, or successful HUMAN, you need to learn to validate your own ideas and ego.

    Um...you didn't give much info.
But until you write it you'll never know, i've had ideas i loved but when i started writing i realized it wasn't such a good idea.
Truthfully it's not the sort if thing i would want to write and definitely nothing i want to read but if people all read the same things many Authors would be out of business.

story ideas are meaningless until turned into a completed piece of work...

any idea [good or bad] can be turned into a successful book/movie by a good writer... and no idea however great will succeed in the hands of a poor writer... so, as advised above, just write it!
