Okay. Oscar is a playwright of moderate and rising fame, Luke is a fan. They meet at the gym where Luke works. Luke's narration reveals he has a crush on Oscar, they start dating after a week or so. Along the way of their relationship developing, they get involved in stuff happening around them. Some of the personal dramas, good and bad, of friends, family and colleagues. There's a bunch of stuff with homophobia, religion vs atheism, other people's relationship successes, personality conflicts, old history, and more. And eventually, stuff kind-of-mostly works out. The end. Ding!
Err, ok, let me think... John Smith meets Goth girl, they bond by weird means, and they have grandchildren who wear dog collars. That was the first thing that came to mind.

Six dwarfs, a prostitute, and a wayward wizard struggle with their personal sexual dysfunctions. If they aren't impotent or have Oedipus complexes, then it's a strange proclivity toward sea creatures (not that the wizard's sexual preferences matter.) The only ones who lack a dysfunction are gay and I'm left to wonder if we'll ever get that prostitute pregnant!

First thing I thought of after reading that was a Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs porn parody. My WIP involves a climate changed damaged Earth, a politician working on a government project to fix the problem and global the politics that surround who will be allowed to survive (the who in question referring to which religious groups, racial groups, etc will be represented).
Think of your usual YA kid-detective story. Put it in a fantasy realm. Kid is an orphan who is blind and has a neurological disorder. That's my story in a nutshell.
