Chapter 2The collectors told the parents they wanted to "help" their child, just as all the commercials said between every show on television. Luckily some parents didn't fall for their web of lies and didn't allow there children to be taken and some even went into hiding. In the beginning of what came to be known as "the collection" the collectors actually offered a choce, most refused but some actually gave their kids up for the promise of making their child better. Once the government figured out the powers these children posssessed there was no more choice offered in the matter, breaking all of the rights granted as U.S. citizens. As more and more children were forced from their homes, families began to fear the collectors and started leaving their homes or making shelters. The whole world was dipped in chaos. 3rd world countries erupted into battle because everybody wanted control of the "special" children. The bigger countries didn't initially have conflict with other countries. They had enough trouble trying to gather their own army and everyone was waiting on which country would attack first. The thing is there are no guns anymore. A law was passed in 2012 by the United Nations saying all guns had to be destroyed and no more could be produced. United Nations thought this would ease the tension of war. In the beginning it did but gradually countries started pointing fingers at one another and tempers flared like unchecked volcanoes. For a few years war erupted but the way of fighting changed greatly. For long rage all they had to use was bows and most of the fighting was done with swords. The fighting eventually died down about the time X-602 was created. Tension was still high among most countries though, so when these special powers were found out you can see why governments would seek to contain and control everyone who could use these powers. Now i would like to tell whoever is reading this about the part I played in this mess. I guess i'll start form the beginning.
Chapter 1Myfriends and i are a group of dirty ragtag rebels opposing Leonard the "revered" dictator. Well before i get ahead of my self i'd like to give you the back story, by the way i'm Dan. Ok, around the year 2020 the F.D.A. approved a new drug that was government endorsed. The drug was created for pregnant women, it was supposed to prevent disabilities in babies, the drug was named X-602. The drug seemed to work, there were no more problems with any babies born when women used X-602. the thing is the drug worked too well, for lack of a better term the babies became super humans. They didn't find that out though until the first kids hit around 15 years old; which frankly is a delicate age if any to be getting super powers. Before this happend though pregnant women saw the results the drug produced and it sold like mad. Soon the drug became ingrained in society to the point where it was offered in hospitals like it was Motrin. Every country was using X-602 and there were virtually no more disabled children. As soon as children hit about 15 years old though weird happenings started popping up. There were videos on YouTube of kids picking up cars, some were moving things with their mind. At first all these things were brushed off as hoaxes but as more and more popped up the government started to investigate. When the government came across these kids they took them away to prison like facilities where they hoped to learn more about these powers and how to contol them. A government funded program was started too get all these kids to government facilities scattered throughout America.
I'm brand new to this whole posting on forums business but i started writing my own "book" per say and i would like to get opinions, questions, and any grammar problems anyone sees. i'm not that far in it and it's taking form as i write it so any opinions will be welcome. i think i will start posting my book on here per chapter. i want to have the chapters pretty short like a james patterson book but i want to bring in and enthrall readers and have them on the edge of their seat the whole time. i'll admit im not the best writer but by posting on here im hoping to become a better one.
