I've read manga since I was eleven. I know it's not what most would call literature, however there's one in particular that I've only recently finished titled "Fullmetal Alchemist". I find it interesting mostly because of the plot and wonderfully developed characters. As the title suggests, it does involve alchemy, a very early form of chemistry and it is one series of books that I've found really interesting. I was just wondering if anybody has read these. --- If you're interested about it, here's a plot summary I've written: Edward Elric, and his brother, Alphonse, attempt to bring their mother back to life through forbidden alchemy. To do so, Edward unwittingly sacrifices his leg, and Alphonse loses his entire body, only to find that the resurrection was a fail. Attaching Alphonses's soul to a suit of armour, Edward and his bother go on adventures to get their original bodies back by finding the philosopher's stone. (That's right Harry Potter fan, I saw your eyes light up. )
