At the risk of repeating myself........

  1. How does a dog stop a video?
    He presses the PAWS button.
(I saw that joke written outside a coffee shop on a blackboard this morning btw)
Self esteem and self-renunciation. That's what we need to solve and work on all our lives. If our parent don't guide us with it, we need to take responsibility ourselves.
It's about developing confidence and keeping our ego in check at the same time. They would seem to be at odds sometimes. But you take a good speaker. They take into account the audience. A good speech is not about them. It's about everyone. A leader is not someone who is good at bossing us around and talking tough. He's about showing us the way and encouraging us to reach our potential. Even a lead singer in a rock band. The swagger is only part of the act. They are just providing entertainment. I imagine they must laugh about it offstage. Freddie Mercury was totally uninhibited. he wasn't saying "worship me". He was saying "be true to yourself, warts and all". Well that is my take anyway.
I have to include my note to self hear in regard to God appreciation. Whenever Ive either enjoyed some success or experienced a real high, confidence wise, I've credited it all to myself. That is when Ive put God on the
backburner while I luxuriated in my own awesomeness. Time and time again, I've just switched into materialistic, self-worshipping mode. I'm gonna pray right now that stops happening from here on. Im praying God reminds me to thank Him everyday of course but especially when I experience another windfall of fortune or luck or similar.
Cheers. Im feeling good today actually. Thank you Lord.
