Do not run away from your problems!

  1. Sometimes we might feel that we want to run away from certain things in our lives. Homework, friendship troubles or love problems, for example. But if we were to keep running away, which would eventually leave us offtrack from the main road, then nobody would reach the finishing line. Everybody would be lost at God knows where.

My advice is for you to stop running away from all your troubles and face it with courage. That way, in the future, you wouldn't worry about such things again.

And however my heart "goes out" to all of you people who are running away from troubles, I think I am the one running away from my problems as well. I am always like that, but really. It's time for me to face it... or something. Face my homework. Face P.E. Face F&N. Face my zero confidence. Face everything with the courage to succeed. Let's just say this is a motivation speech for myself.

When we worry about the future, and it turns out seriously better than what we expected from over-thinking, it really was a waste of time.

Stop wasting time THINKING and do something about DOING it. All the thinking isn't needed unless you're doing some Academics thing. Thinking about useless problems with your bootless cries is not going to help. The future can worry for itself. And now, the present needs you to worry for it. Worry for it!

    That's what I told myself.

This reminds me of one of my favourite books -- When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron. It's a book on Buddhism, that deals with strategies for facing your problems, as you put it. Not running away from your fears.

I definitely agree, and I need the reminder sometimes! :)

I see. I have never read that book, but I'm glad it turned out to be something great. Thanks for the comment. But even as I said all that, I still try to run away. But I firmly, yet slowly, told myself to stop running away. It becomes a habit.

Thanks for agreeing and commenting on my blog post. I never expected to receive this many comments, to be true. I only posted it because I wanted to remind myself of it. But I was really happy to receive many comments. :D

    YEAH.

Uhh, yeah, what you said is true. Unfortunately, I run away a lot/don't face my problems. Easier said than done an' all that.

I know it is easier said than done. Same applies for me - I can't help but run away from my problems. Everybody tries to avoid problems and troubles, nobody wants to face them. But one day, they will have to. I try to delay the problem, but turns out to be worse. I hate it. :(
