First in a new place

  1. They say write what you know. I guess that means my stories should all be full of loneliness, depression, anxiety and despair.

Instead, I try and make them full of hope, love and oppotunities. Chances and choices I wish I had taken throughout my life and hopefully have a better outcome in my tales. I don' always succeed but then again life doesn't always run smooth so I guess it's fitting.

This is a positive change I'm trying to make, getting used to showing my work among other writers. Only time will tell how they respond. How they engage with me. If they don't like it, I have to remind myself it's no big deal and it's the enjoying the writing process that's the most important part.

If they like it? So much the better :)

I am quite familiar with such miserable feelings. It is admirable you still hold fast to the ideals of change and hope. I do not think there anyone, on here anyway that will judge any writing unfairly. I encourage writing endeavors, it is indeed a good therapy, and wish much successes.
