Frusterated writer

The scams, the useless information, the senseless publishing fees. Haven't we all had it? I would rather face a lifetime of rejection than to be a sucked in to false promises. My negativity grows with every offer that has wiggled my way.
"Congrats you have been nominated as our business leader please write a short essay how you accomplished this!"
Um, well this will be quick, as I replied: I'm not a business leader, I'm an unpublished and unpaid writer, but please save my email in the event you would like to hear more about how I accomplished this!
Reply: Thank you for taking the time to enter we will contact you shortly! And then there it is, the fee, the empty promise for only 49.95 you can ensure your entry and gain the recognition you so deserve. Riiight. No thanks.
