Hoosier Burial

  1. Hoosier Burial

yellow dress yellow hat twinkling eyes
    red blood

white lilies blackened uterus elderly eyes
    childlike fear

blue scrubs sterile steel outdated magazines
    stifling room

    The womb
    that bore
    my father
    extracted,
    incinerated
    with the flesh
    of strangers.

white morphine empty eyes yellow leaves
    Hoosier burial
