I feel Inspired to Continue writing

Having just read
Daniel's Interview with Tess Gerritsen:
I now realise where I am going wrong.
I have wrote 4 Chapters of my Novel
and keep going over it and over it
perfecting and changing ,thus losing the plot.
Not the story plot but my own
I feel now that I must continue to write and
perfect the finished piece ...
otherwise I will not get past Chapter 5........
I do agree that every individual must learn the way of creating a first novel on thier own ...
trying out different ideas etc.
But I think you must write what you feel ....and not what someone else feels.
Although I do worry that my book will not sell 1 copy
