I think I just found a reason to get a PS3...

The Last Guardian made by the same company that did Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Since I liked the last two games, I think I'll buy a PS3 just to play this one (and a few other PS3 games)

Basically, the plot is some boy and a griffin. That's all I was able to go by, but for some reason, I have a really bad feeling that something terrible is gonna happen to either the griffin or the kid. Assuming from the trailer that both the boy and the griffin were being held prisoner, it could be...well, I don't want to spoil it in case it actually does come to pass.

I had a lot of fun with Red Dead Redemption, but other than that, I'm not really playing any other 360 games (There's not a whole lot of good Wii games, unfortunatally. I got it mainly for Zelda and Super Smash Brothers)

Now just have to figure out how to get the PS3. Dammit! It's times like this I wish my birthday wasn't five months ago. :p

The best games of all time are the Metal Gear Solid games. The best story of any game, period, and the innovator of the sneak 'em up genre.

That's your motivation to buy a PS3, mon capitan.

Story has never been the strong point of the MGS series.

I agree Lavarian, it dreams far too high. Makes it confusing on purpose to make it look good, but really it's pretty stupid.

A great, challenging, and regrettably solely PS3 game that you should try, Link is Demon's Souls.

Eh, I still wouldn't get a PS3. The only thing that has even come close to persuading me, was Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. And then Yahtzee slated it.

And anyway, the massive pricetag is always there to put me off. I just think, with the expense, and the shortage of decent PS3-only games, it just isn't a smart idea. I mean, Sony were running adverts for the PS3 using the game Uncharted 2 as the selling point for it.

Thanks, but when the main advantage of your product is being able to play the game for white supremacists, it might be time to call time on the whole thing.

God of War. The greatest game series of all time.

The Uncharted series is actually very good.

Heavy rain. Little big planet. Ratchet and Clank.

I don't think the price tag is that big. £200?

Eh. Uncharted looked to me like the Tomb Raider games, but with other races as the target of the violence, rather than animal life.

I've never played God of War, to be honest. It may be fantastic. The greatest game series of all time? I doubt it. That crown still belongs to Silent Hill.

Little Big Planet doesn't look like my sort of game really.

Ratchet and Clank was an outstanding series of games. I had the first three on PS2. I'm not sure I'd buy a whole new console for a few more R&C games.

Heavy Rain, I don't know anything about really.

And £200 is a lot of money, particularly for a poor student like myself. I'm rather jealous that it isn't for you :p But more than that, it was a good deal more expensive about a year and a half ago, when I was looking at buying a console (I went with the X-Box 360 on the basis that it was cheaper and had a better range of games).

Hellz yes, Metal Gear rules! Unfortunately I do not possess the funds to sponsor my journey into the Play Station 3 console games. :*(
