Is my being different wrong?

By caity lloyd · Feb 23, 2012 · ·
  1. If you say I'm strange, I'll reply no I'm just different.
If you say I'm unfunny, I'll say no I have an original sense of humor.
If you say I'm a loner, I'll answer no I have friends just not as many as you

So baisically because I'm not like you I'm wrong. But in my opinion being different is being yourself, having an original sense of humor lets you make real friends, and although I may not have as many friends as you doesn't mean I'm a loner it just means i have close friends who i cherish dearly.

And so after all that you still think I'm wrong then all i can say is yes all opinions are right but in this case they're not well at least not to me.

I grew up in a household where my adults were right simply by being adults, and if I spoke my mind and my parents disagreed with me, I got in trouble for questioning such wisdom. : / Naturally, in effect, I'm extremely outspoken now. I don't think I'm necessarily rude, but I certainly don't censor myself, and I've met a lot of people who dislike me for it. I think being honest, opinionated, and an independent thinker is worth being alone sometimes. Like you said, "I may not have as many friends as you." Independent thinkers, imo, have friends just not a lot of friends, but that tends to be because independent thinkers like to surround themselves w/ other independent thinkers, which are scarce nowadays.
