People say there are no gods, but money comes close. If a priest cursed you today, I would sleep without a problem. If I lost my job...my whole world had been thrown into DEFCON Freak-the-hell-out.

It is good to be positive, but not at the expense of being realistic. There are those who say that money doesn't mean anything and that happiness is what's important. Happiness, love, friends, integrity...you know what I mean.

Well...

Would anybody look at you or treat you the same if you did not have any money? How many people you know would cease to want to know you if you did not have any money? How about the love of your life? Your friends...your family. How many people would turn aside and disappear?

Rather than baseless optimism and confidence, it would be a question of truth, and we know how much the truth can hurt. All those people around us, for the most part, would gradually slip away. For most, a friend or family member in need tends to need more than they can or are prepared to give. Friends help friends. Lovers love indiscriminately. If money is an issue that could break these bonds between you, than it is a money situation you are dealing with.

WHEREVER money is involved, it is a money situation and it's laws become applicable.
