  1. Joined the site on a whim and suddenly my head hurts and I feel exhausted.

    A little too left-leaning and degenerate for my health, it would seem, but I'm more focused on sharing my writing.

    And there's still plenty of interesting and good stuff to read. Just have to painstakingly sift through the trash first, which I hadn't expected going into it. That's okay.

    Also, talk about information overload. I'll have to limit myself to reading just a couple things a day, max.

    I too, joined to discuss stories, mostly to find out if any of mine was coming across. I ended up staying for the community, you wonderful people-things! I haven't engaged in much discussion on the approach I'm taking, just a few people, which is fine. I too, am a little disturbed by the pop-in-and-out/quick-comment attitude. It does contrast massively with the few individuals I have engaged with, so that's been great. :) I'm preparing myself to fight for the addition of a more focused and encouraging side for the site, for each story (writer-thing). (leaving current state as-is, of course) :)

    I was talking about medium.com, another site (just to clarify). I have no qualms worth mentioning for WF.org-- at least not besides the couple I've mentioned in the past, which there's no real sense in repeating.

    And with that, it's time to pop open another cold one.
