  1. Hi Friends,

    Am new to forum blogging.

It's my pleasure to introduce myself. well, I'm Mohammad Shakir born and raised in Kerala, India.

Regarding my work profile currently am working as an Accountant in a leading multinational company in Dubai.

In my aspect of viewing I think nothing in this world is perfect, my city has advantageous and disadvantageous.

I like my city Kerala because it is naturally beautiful. for me nature beauty means it’s the most important part of my life, my city is mainly covered with green, rivers, I use to swim in rivers, though it is dangerous, is the most favorite activity for me.

The other most important part that I like about my city is its arts and architecture. My city is renowned in the world by its ancient arts and architecture. In a few kilometers away, I can reach the beautiful architecture places. Usually, I spend my evening time in such areas with my friends.

Despite my likeness, I do have some unwanted things about my city. Now days, the population of the people is increasing in a very fast manner. I have to go more than five kilometers to have a fresh air in an open area. Similarly, I have to face a traffic game, air pollution, water shortage.

Thus, these are the liking and disliking of my city.

.Welcome Mohammad. I hope you continue to post here.

Kerala sounds like an interesting place to live, like everywhere with its good and bad parts. My city, much younger because it is American, is relatively small and mostly clean and pretty. We have a major university here, and the state government is here, both are downtown, so it's busy day and night. But nothing like New York.

We have four large lakes in the city, and they can be beautiful, but they also are not as clean as they should be. Years ago people swam in them regularly, now they are a bit weedy. But still okay, people like to sit by them, boat in them, fish in them -- and every year we have an Ironman event, in which people swim across one of them. Our sky is still clear, and pollution is low.

Your description of Kerala reminds me of Kabul Afghanistan many years ago, before Russians and revolution tore it apart. I remember beautiful old architecture, fascinating places, busy people of all sorts, and a mountain in the center of the city. I climbed it a couple times (easy to do) and looked out at the view. I wandered into and out of bazaars and other places, without fear or concern. I'm glad I was there and glad I left in time.

I sense that English is not your first language, so you are to be commended in coming to this site. It's a great place to practice and to learn the idioms, etc. In English we wouldn't say "the liking and disliking" but something like "the good and the bad," or "things to like and dislike." English is my wife's second language, and I sometimes marvel at how well she speaks American English now.

But I can only imagine how my writing would sound in Farsi, even though I spent three years studying it many years ago.

    Again, welcome.

Better welcome than I got. Maybe I should've pretended English was my second language.
