Every year, most, if not all of the entire country makes lists of what they want to do with themselves for the next year. Almost every single time, though, these goals are lost within the next week. Last year, I remember trying to break my habit of obsessive gaming. That has gone nowhere, though I made more progress on alternatives. With twenty minutes left, I feel like an audience to support my cause will help. As 2012 approaches, I've decided that the goals I should try and reach are:
1) Stop major procrastination. This has been an issue all year, and even now there are projects looming over my head. I know that there can be room for some enjoyment, but prioritizing these activities over work is far from acceptable. It needs to be fixed, to be sure.
2) Contribute more time to what I can benefit from. To be more specific, focus much more time on Writing, Music, and School Projects. Lots of time is wasted on mindless entertainment, none of it which is ever useful in the long run. It's a waste of time, to be sure.
3) Since it's appropriate, I'll make one of my new resolutions to be based on writing. I'm going to take a single project and run for it. Not just a few chapters, but solid portions of a novel. Something that I would be proud of showing.
So, let's make this a good year, for ourselves and our friends and family. A Happy New Year to all of Writing Forums, and to all people important.
