Plotting Plotting Plotting

There are so many different ways to approach a piece of writing; as many different ways as there are styles. Quite possibly infinite numbers. However, for those of us who need a little bit of less freedom, or structure, there are very helpful tried and tested methods to help those navigate through the building blocks of the writing method. Taking the imagery of the house, the basis of a very good novel could be thought to be the foundations – if you've got good research and good, well laid out plans then you know what will follow should be good. That's the theory anyway!
I've been using a lot of pinterest boards on writing and to research information about my current topic. I think though there is a fine line between the word "research" and procrastination here…
I like that I'm keeping something of a journal/blog which is helping me warm up my writing brain and switching off my life brain. But sooner or later and did have to close this window and actually crack on! A piece of advice one of my lecturers gave me wants was to just write a scene – write your favourite scene that keeps coming back to mind, And go from there. And I'll be darned if I go out today before I finish this. Hell yeah! Or, I might just make myself a sandwich…
