Sudden Thought...

  1. If Iraq had weapons of mass destruction...why didn't they use them against the invading coalition?

Saddam's great solicitude for his own people, I would have thought. Their use would have impelled the coalition to prosecute the war with greater zeal and greater fury, to the point where innocent Iraqi lives would have been lost.

Either that or they were hidden so well they forget where they put them.

That is all that occurs to me.

It was more or less and attempt to as said by Art they didn't want the coalition to strike back with their own weapons which would take more innocent lives.

It's an accepted fact that Iraq didn't have weapons of mass destruction. They destroyed practically everything well before the USA:s invasion.

More specifically, Iraq didn't have any unmanned drones capable of reaching the American mainland, a claim which George Bush used to convince Congress to approve the invasion.

Doubtful, Art. The US was coming, one way or the other. In fact, we were there already. The established No Fly ZOne was used by us to systematically bomb Iraq for nearly the entirety of it's duration. From what I gathered, the US was going there no matter what. They were in the process of authenticating what they were doing as they were doing it and they never had proof. Inconclusive, as Islander says.

WMD's and the facilities used to store them cannot be spirited away without a trace. I sincerely doubt anything can be spirited away without a trace. The only footage of cruelty from massively destructive weapons I've seen were those where civilians are shown torn in some way or another from a US bombing raid that had depleted Uranium loads a percentage of the time.

Unmanned drones and aliens are both red herrings to me. I'm surprised Saddam wasn't collaborating with aliens. Problem is we know too much about the ruse and little about the facts. Myself included.
