Just a short thought, but our stance on immigration is insanely ironic. We went from a nation that claims to accept the poor, the tired, and the willing to...get them out or we'll kick them out. How did the nation come to this...it never changed. All classes of immigrants have met with varying degrees of hostility and prejudice from the locals. They were never just accepted.
However, I have to agree that immigration is bad for the country. The greatest example I can think of was wondering how the Native American's felt watching these strange people come to their shores. In the end, the Native Americans decide to accept them and even help them because there was perhaps mutual benefit to be had from their presence. How f***ing stupid were they?
