Hi Bayleigh, I've often wondered if lectures are a useful way of teaching. The only reason you really needed to go to them was because at the end the professor handed out the assignments and the bibliography.

Then it was a race to get the books out of the library before the other students got them before you.

I've got a whole bunch of books I had to buy because I needed them for an assignment and someone else beat me to the library books. I think that system sucks actually.

Personally I got a lot more out of tutorials, the lecturer actually tells you what they want you to say in your assignments and you can have a discussion about it.

And writing a poem in class? Is that a form of doodling.

Oh, yes. Definitely my form of doodling. Ha, ha. I actually like lectures. I guess I'm an "auditory learner" or something like that. I remember it as much as I remember what I read, but it's less work for me! (I think I might be a little on the lazy side.) But if I'm inspired, then forget it. I will do my doodling and my professor can get over it. Lol.
