Your spacing or mine?

  1. I have always refused to use single spaces after a period, even though it saves some space. Which can save a bit of money in paper. Some of my colleagues gleefully moved to single spaces, and even succeeded in changing our house rules on it. I'm still unsure whether my intransigence was based on my aesthetic sense or simple stubbornness, I can't say. Maybe having come of age in the era of typewriters, I'm just too old to change.

But perhaps I was right for the wrong reasons:

I'd be interested in reading other folks' perspectives.

    IDK, I use single space.
Not sure if the only time double space after a period is still
part of MLA format or not.
I however feel that it would look a little cramped to just
skip the space at the end of sentences entirely. :)
