I'm in my mid thirties, have a loving husband (painfully) and a beautiful adorable (stressful) child. Both of whom I would give my life for. They are my world. And they take up my entire time.

Writing, reading are my distractions, my release, my way to be alive in a different way and have time to myself (which comes very infrequently). I was never a good writer when I was younger, don't get me wrong, I wrote numerous stories when I was younger, even handed a couple of them into my English teacher to grade them - very impressed, but I never did anything with it.

I got my inspiration from the kids tv shows of the day, X-men was a big inspiration, most of my writings were about "gifted" children in schools with powers, set in a scary big castle or something of the like. But it wasn't until the I started Roleplaying prior to my daughter being born (almost 6 years ago) that I started getting back into writing again.

I was big in to the True Blood series when it first came on (who doesn't love a good vampire story, well, except those that don't!) and found myself involved online with a roleplaying group that focused on the characters linked to the series. I absolutely loved it, and it reminded me how much I loved to write.

So, here I am, joining a writing forum. To research, to hash out my ideas, a lot of people join these places to put their stories up and get feedback, well, I don't have anything as of yet, but I have ideas bouncing around in my head, and what better place to start thinking about putting it all down in to sentences, paragraphs, chapters etc, then on a writing forum with help and tips and advice from others.

Both positive and negative criticism are needed, hopefully, I can get that here.

    Thanks for reading.
