CEO & Founder of Creative Writing Institute, a non-profit charity that sponsors cancer patients in writing therapy. Our Mission: to inspire and scholarship cancer survivors in free writing courses and to offer a safe environment for venting. .

At present, we are also adapting our courses for the blind and in 2013, we will develop a picture book/writing program for children that have cancer, ages 4-16.

We need tutors for Horror Writing and Fantasy Writing. Tutors must be available to their students six days a week. We're looking for people to help build these courses. If you would like to apply, write to deborahowen@cwinst.com.

Volunteer Department: We also have a volunteer staff that helps write articles, work in the library, put out the newsletter, draw cartoons, work with websites, etc. If you would like to join our volunteer department, please write to me.
