Born in a small town in Wisconsin, I moved to New York City to pursue a career in fashion. Started at the bottom and when I grabbed the brass ring, found it was plastic.

Started rock climbing in 2004 and had one of those life-changing experiences where you find a renewed purpose. Left the city to live in Upstate New York, as a caretaker on a nature preserve from May through October, and in Joshua Tree, California for winter. It seems to take me at least three weeks to travel the migration.

I live in a cabin with no plumbing or electricity. Drinking water is from an underground stream 1/8 mile down the road, and to pick up a cel signal I need to walk or dive 1.5 miles. I like it like that!

Ive always loved to write and have started on projects and stalled. Currently working on a work of fiction that I feel pretty good about, and hope, hope, hope I will follow through on.
