I'm a university student studying French and Spanish Literature. Some of my favourite authors are Tolkein, Rowling, Kelley Armstrong, Raymond E. Feist, Christopher Golden, Rob Thurman, and Neil Gaiman, and François Mauriac.

I’ve discovered that when I’m feeling melancholy I often write. It helps me keep track of my feelings and work through them. I don’t always put into action the realizations I have when I write, but I’m sure I’ll get better with that in time. For now, it is enough just to write.

    A little about me ..
My name is Melissa. I almost always cry during good movies, I’m a Pisces but don’t think it affects my life much, I believe in God but get confused by critical religious issues and where I stand, my family and friends are the most important things I know, and I’m still waiting for someone to love me the way I want to be loved.
My first name is simply one my mother liked, but my middle name is my mom’s first name. I was born the first child to my parents in March of 1988. Over the next six years, I became older sister to three younger siblings.
My extended family is quite large, my mom being from a family of 13 and my dad from a family of 11. I love my ridiculously large family though and wouldn’t trade them for anything.
A few things I’m just starting to realize about myself are:
I can be selfish, but more often I am ready and willing to give when I see someone else in need – of attention, a hug, a listening ear, a helping hand, whatever.
I care too much about what other people think and it often holds me back.
