Hi! My name is Alex, and I'm getting on for the grand old age of twenty-one.

I study Lighting Design at university with the intention to go into the theatre, but anything in theatre makes me happy. I love direction, writing and everything else about it.

When I'm not at uni I reside on the Isle of Wight. A beautiful lump of multicoloured rock just off the south coast. My bit is particularly lovely (as I'm sure anyone would say of their home) due to its being smack dab in the middle of no-where, but close enough to everywhere!

When I'm home I work at the Isle of Wight Zoo. I spent most of last year working retail there, mostly front of house in the café, but they moved me into the kitchen eventually. This summer I'm returning as the person who sells adoptions to people, a step up from what I was doing before and something I'm honoured to be a part of.

As well as working in a zoo I run a bit of a menagerie at home, too. living in my family home are six animals; four dogs from four different countries, a tortoise and a step-father. All of whom hold special places in my heart.

I used to write blogs and only blogs, but recently I've taken interests in playwriting. I'm currently working on my first full length play, about three humans and a bull.
