I'm a fairly ordinary Canadian gal whose been a stay-at-home Mom for the last 13yrs. I bore quite easily which is probably why I'm a total movie buff whose absolutely fascinated with anything paranormal & all things magical . . . anything to take me out of a pretty dull life & into an entirely different & exciting new world. Some would label that as being a bit of a dreamer . . .

After years of struggling & searching for that special "something" that had always been missing in my life, I suddenly got that big 'ol smack in the head that finally woke me right up! Never in a million years had I even considered writing BUT there it was . . . Ah ha! I'ma gonna write a story!! That was New Years Eve of last year. Ever since then I've been wingin' it & having a lot of fun doing it!

I joined this forum because I have much to learn and could use some advice from those who share the passion and are willing to lend me their knowledge.

For some reason I can't seem to entirely fit my favorite quote into that little box, so I'll share three that suit my beliefs the best . . .

I do have common sense, so . . . "A good novel tells us the truth about its hero; but a bad novel tells us the truth about its author."
    G. K. Chesterton

I'm a babbler, so . . . "The great art of writing is knowing when to stop."
    Josh Billings

And last but certainly not least, this is 100% ME, sssssso . . . "It's an adrenaline surge rushing through your body. You have this spark of an idea that keeps threatening to burst into flames and you have to get the words out on paper to match this emotion or picture in your head. After this comes the work of cleaning up the mess that you made."
    Janet West

It's an absolute DREAM of mine to become a published author one day BUT if that day never comes & it's just not meant to be, I'm quite satisfied with the fact that I am the ultimate creator/higher power of my very own magical world & the wonderful feeling it blesses me with every day!

Painting, sketching, doodling & googling, WRITING, spending time with my super cool boy...
