Whoa. Now you're gettin' personal, huh? Aight, aight. So I've been writing fiction since my teens, but didn't start writing seriously until my early twenties after I read James Scott Bell's book Plot & Structure and he told me to write up a personal contract confirming myself as a serious writer and sign it. I think that notebook where I wrote that is still hangin round--I'm a hoarder, not severe unless you ask my wife.


Bout six years ago my wife and I started an epic urban fantasy series called Paladin Cycle--it's kinda like a Game Of Thrones meets Lovecraft meets True Blood. One reviewer said, "It's redneck tempers with a cast of dungeons and dragons style villains." So, yeah, I guess we can go with that.


Concerning my writing style, I'd say its kinda pulpy with hints of poetics.


I'm an animal love, currently owning 7 dogs who are all rescues, and 3 cats who I have to pay rent to in order to remain in their house.



Don't watch much television save for Game Of Thrones and Walking Dead, though I re-watch Sons Of Anarchy and True Blood at least once a year. I like those kinda mature high-drama shows with ensemble cast.


My taste in video games (since the topic comes up a lot) is mostly older games like Neverwinter Nights, Fallout 1, 2 & 3, Elder Scrolls, and I just recently started playing the free MMORPG Scarlet Blade.


Music, another popular topic: Pretty much anything from old-school country-western to hardcore death/black/viking metal, to synthwave and folk rock.
