What does the deep midnight declare?

    Woe implores: Go!

I have been writing for a very long time now. But I haven't been writing as much as i'd like to. I need to read so many more books to help establish my voice as a writer, so I'm always looking for recommendations on people's favorites.

My style is much more fitted for a graphic novel, a playwright, or a movie script. It's because I'm a media buff who loves Anime, Movies, TV series, and most forms of entertainment(including games/video games) that I think about it in this manner. Transforming that into a writer's voice has been quite challenging. Part of the problem is my description of things. the scenes are very vivid in my head and when I describe things I do it so methodically, that it lacks the luster that makes writing so great. The metaphor, allegory, emotional sensitivity. Like a painting, the words have to draw out emotion beyond the context, it's like deciding what colors to paint in. The reason I don't just stick to a format that would be easier for me is to add a greater depth to my stories that makes it deeper, or artsy. I know these things can be transferred from a written format to another easily, so I really want to get it down like this first, That way I have my stories in multiple formats to reach a wider audience. I think it will help with the dialogue too.

I always think about how to break the mold. Not because I have some need to be different, but because I know how hard it is to be right. There is always a better, and striving for that is a continuous goal of mine.

I went to college for Creative Media Technology but after one semester I knew that I could do so much better on my own. I love to draw, I haven't established my own style yet but if I get good enough I will draw my own illustrations. It depends on how the timeframe for this works out, but either way I have enough to do for a lifetime already, so to see it truly blossom I need to put in as much work as possible, to that extent you'll probably see me here for a while, but it still might be a bit before I post anything.
