Grew up in rural NZ, was home-schooled, had no friends except the ones in books. Rode horses everyday, worked on farms and ran a few little businesses, went dairyfarming which nearly killed me.
Met my husband working together [so the share-milking was worth it] had three little girls [my life is now over. Or is it just starting?] and now I scratch out any little writing time I can.
I thank my lonely childhood for my fantastic imagination- a gift that is worth any suffering.
I mainly write and read fantasy, if you are going to escape your world for a while, why stay in your world, right?
I now embrace my strangeness, and amazingly I have friends who like me the way I am! [Even if I scare them sometimes]
I will write until I die, or my arms fall off, whichever comes first.
