First of all, my name is Amanda and I'm 27 years old. Ever since I was very young I have had a passion for writing. I wrote a short story when I was only 8 years old. It was about a bunch of people on a vacation where everything went wrong. It wasn't that great of course, but it brought me a lot of joy writing it. In my teens I worked day and night about a bunch of siblings having a rough upbringing, and were bullies. I wrote on this topic to try to understand bullies. Yet I recieved a lot of scrutiny because some of the content wasn't things a teen should be writing about. I ended up giving up. Most of it I destroyed and I quit writing. Life has dealt me some serious blows in my late teen years, and I chose to pick up the writing again. A few years ago I completed my first book. I have also done two more books, and I have almost completed the fourth in a series. I have also written a few short stories, poems, a children's story, and I am now working on another novel. Most of my writings have the same basic point: becoming stronger through lifes experiences. I really could write a book about my life, and I have started to do so many times, but I find it difficult for some reason. I do put put some of my experiences in my stories, and have another charachter be experiencing it. I'm so iffy about getting my stuff published, but I do want to find out more about it. I've been wanting to somehow make money off my joy of writing. I have a steady full time job, but I'm always finding my money running short. Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know soe fellow writers.
