Hailing from Central Illinois, R. Allan King is a fan of non-conventional storytelling. Considering himself more a storyteller than a writer, he strives to immerse the reader within a construct of a new reality. His fascination with psychology and the behavioral patterns of humanity, along with the philosophy of reality, come through in his work, asking questions that often never occurred to us to ask.

R. Allan currently resides in Washington, Illinois with his wife Amy and two of his three children. Having spent the greater part of his life confined to the area, he has spent some time living in England and the southern United States, enjoying the experience and all that it taught him. After all the moving around, he came back home to settle with his family and get back to his roots.

After publication of "Because I'm The Bad Guy," R. Allan began work on Book Two of The Fairview Chronicles, titled "How Far We've Come." He is also working collaboratively with a local writer's group on a story blog entitled "20/20."
