Hello. My name is Sarah Millicann. I'm a 47 year old writer from the Newcastle upon Tyne. I'm a single lady and not looking for my other half. I kinda gave that up years ago, but one never knows what's round the corner.

As well as writing I run a couple of small businesses. But writing is my passion. I've written for newspapers and magazines, as well as online blogs and I have two books in the pipeline.

One book is about how to start a small business up with no money. That's right no money. Your website free. Your hosting free. And even a dot com domain for a fiver. It all can be done. One of the main points I make in the book is that any small business has to have passion. So you're better off starting a business with something you really love. Without passion, hard work and dedication, a small business will fail. Stay tuned for this book which should be out on Amazon next year.

My other book is a children's book. I won't give too much away but it centres on a family who go on holiday and go through a time hole. They are transported back to the 1970s. Since this was a time in which I grew up, I know all about it and how things we experienced back then will seem really funny now. That book too is out next year. Hopefully.

    * It's funny how I got into writing. It was all by accident actually. I was working as a secretary when one day I heard on the radio this lady saying how she wanted to get into contact with new writers. Strangely, I felt as if she was talking to me, although I was not a writer at that stage. But thought, yeah, give it a go. Anyway, I contacted her. The upshot was she was looking for writers to edit her local magazine and write articles too. I got the job and I was working for her for three years. Not great money but it was fun. So, there you have it. A new door might open today when you least expect it. Good luck!
