Teen

My name is Justeen, but all my friends call me Teen. I'm 24 years old and I live in the United States on the East Coast. I am blessed to have a 2 year old daughter, Johanna. I have been writing journals, poems, etc. since I was 11 years old. I started writing because I used it as a healthy coping mechanism, when I would get depressed. I was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa at the age of 12. I had to be hospitalized as an impatient and then as an outpatient. Writing became an absolute blessing for me when I was in the hospital away from my friends and family. The therapists highly encouraged journaling and I began to love it. I enjoy journaling, but I love writing poems. When I write a poem, I'm able to express myself and get all my feelings out on paper. This allows my emotions to be used in a positive way, rather then in a negative way. I have had my years of rebellion and getting into trouble. And I have also experienced some very traumatic personal things in my life. I would like to write my life story one day. I want the story to help encourage others to stay strong and follow the correct path in life. I would also like to have a book of my poems published. It has been a dream of mine ever since I was a small girl. I still continue to write poems every chance I get and continue to keep my life on the path to goodness.
