I am an editor. I have been editing the works of others as long as I’ve been able to read and write. It is a gift and a passion that has been given to me; and I cannot ignore it. I feel indescribable joy each time I help an author express what is in their mind and heart.

I do not believe that print is dead. But I do believe that people are beginning to depend too heavily on spell check. I wish to breathe life into words again by helping authors write to the very best of their ability.

I’ll be honest with you, I’m here to find more freelance work. But believe me when I say that I’m not that one-dimensional. I do appreciate what this website and forum is doing. I’m working on a book of my own and I truly do believe in the power and importance of story-telling.

As Arthur Polotnik said: “You write to communicate to the hearts and minds of others what’s burning inside you. And we edit to let the fire show through the smoke.”

If you are interested in using my skill and enthusiasm, please don’t hesitate to contact me. And if you think it is utterly rude and unsightly that I am using this forum to get a job, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

    Yours Truly,
    The Word Lady

Constructive criticism is my life blood. It's the only way I'll grow as an author and as an individual. So please review my work. Thanks! :p

My hobby: Using the more obscure meanings of "affect" and "effect" to try to trip up amateur grammar nazis.
    - I think that our foreign policy effects the situation.
    - You mean "affects."
