"He does what he does because he enjoys our suffering." Ishmael replied to Jakem's defense of Bahamut.

Izzy wasn't a fan of Bahamut. A cold glare from his eye was locked on Jakem. "Stop defending that which you do not know priest."

"Stop defending that which you do not know priest."

"Bahamut needs no defense, I am merely speaking truth." Jakem replied, "And you will see what I say is true once we find the God speaker."

"Bull to the shits!" He scoffed out. "He of all beings need a defense. Rape, murder, torture.....and now! Not even water! What sort of monster would let these acts occur on a regular basis?" Ishmael pointed to his own face.

"Look at this and tell me if an all loving God would allow it to happen to an innocent boy!" He went on his face now red with anger. "And that's only a fraction of his sins against me......against all of us! Look you believe what you want to believe but know this. Bahamut will be judged one day."

Jakem raised an eyebrow. "And who will judge him? you? And how would you go about doing that? an all loveing God, who knows all and see's all has his reasons, in the end everything will work out for good, you would not be here today if not for those scars, they are a trail you faced, and overcame, thanks be to Bahamut for sparing you a worse fate." He looked at Roll as he said this.

"Sometimes you must trust in the Lord, and have faith, he will see you through. I promice."

I watched the two argue and sighed. "...Can we please stop talking about this for now? No reason to bring religious beliefs or views into this, we merely want to find the god speaker and hope that whatever information he has will be good for us." I said, I thought that it would be best to hide the true gender of the god speaker from Spring Roll, you could never be sure who's friend or foe, she could be spying on us...

    "I'm sorry..." Intervined Kyra..
"But what about those for the ones such concept like faith has no meaning at all?.." asked the young to Jakem joining the frail
"I have no memories of my past, hence all this faith thing seems ephimeral to me... Is not just the point of view of an atheist, is the viewpoint of someone who doesn't even can comprehend the snese of it" said Kyra with a serious glance.
"On my eyes the logic of a being who is responsible for all the suffering is no more than a cruel devil..." Stated the young.

    "
he is not responsible for the sins of mortals, Only we are to blame."

"...Can we please stop talking about this for now? No reason to bring religious beliefs or views into this, we merely want to find the god speaker and hope that whatever information he has will be good for us."

"Perhaps your right, I doubt I can convince them anyway."

Hessa had been listening the entire time, her brow knitted together, as for her stance she wasn't sure what to think.

"We'll get our answers when we find the God speaker, so enough chat, get ready we will be leaving soon. Oh and what about Spring Roll?"

"I will stay with you a while longer, there are things I need to, observe first." Hessa frowned at the news but didn't protest.

    This is just ridiculous....
    This is stupid....
    I can't accept this.....
    You can't accept this.....
    The other can't accept this...

    "Stop!!!!!" screamed Kyra...
"I don't get it, how can you justify it all with so stupid reason??"...
"What if a newborn baby dies out of a fatal sickness or lack of water, it didn't even had time to sin. Would the Bahamut just kill it without real reason???" asked Kyra, this time Kyra was angry, not the White Kyra.

"I'll tell you what I think.... You all had sold your souls to the same devil, and you justifiy it all with the act of some random fish!!! And what's worst is that all the culture is based on that stupid reasoning, who was the brilliant genius that invented it?, I'll love to imprint my first on it's face!!!" screamed the young without caring who was listening to it.

White Kyra sleeped.... it was having a pleasant dream and thus it smiled on it's dream....

I looked at Spring Roll. "I think you should just go back, I don't quite like having something so unpredictable around if I get in the way of her orders for even a millisecond." I said crossing my arms.

I looked at Kyra silently. "...I'm not disagreeing with you, I don't believe that he cares... in fact I think he's just a cruel bastard that loves to watch suffering, we're all merely game pieces on the game board we call life, he creates tragedy for all of the little game pieces. He writes tragic fates for each of us and watches as it unfolds." I said, I rubbed my chin. "...Wanna know what really gets on my nerves though...?" I asked, I didn't wait for an answer. "Having my fate in someone else's hands... so... even if he creates a tragic fate for me, even if the whole world shouts at me that it's my fate... I won't accept it just because it's some powerful being creates it for me! I'll smash through that inescapable fate! I'll smash through every rewrite, until he damns me to the deepest pit of hell! Even then I'll create a miracle and escape his damnation! My fate is my own! Not some bored and cruel demon's!" I said speaking with a deep and heavy conviction and determination.

"I think you should just go back, I don't quite like having something so unpredictable around if I get in the way of her orders for even a millisecond.

"Negative, my orders are to stay, if you have a problem with it you may leave." Spring Roll answered.

Joe then went on a rant about Bahamut, to which Hessa started to get annoyed.

"Enough!" Hesse sneered, "stop whining, if you have a problem with God take it up with the God speaker Jakem already told you his stance. No need to kick the dead horse" She looked at Joe and Lyra annoyed.

"Indeed, she will have all the answers you are looking for." Jakem added, "I tire of listening to Blaphameses, come let us get ready."

The group began to disperse, Hidan stood in the corner listening to it all, he chuckled. "That's a cocky thing to say boy." pointing to Spring roll, he added."But you can't change fate, just look at her, there is nothing you can do if that happens to you, and if it's destined to happen ain't shit gonna stop god from screwing you. Not even the God speaker can change her fate I recon, but I suppose we shall see."

"Sorry about raising my lance against you." Ishmael said apologetically to Hessa as the other chatted away.
He'd hoped he didn't offend her. It was simply for protection as he'd thought she would attack the undead girl.

"It was simply a precautionary measure."

"I still don't trust her, she is a ghoul even if her story is tragic." Hessa stated bitterly.

"To be honest there are a lot of people in this group whom can't be trusted. Huh?" He asked. A smile spreading across his face as he leaned up against the wall. "You really should learn to calm down. I mean I was cheated by that riddle. Which the answer was pens by the way. You don't see me getting all hot and bothered."
    He lied.

    Fucking riddles!

"hmm. damn it all." Hessa took a deep breath and calmed her self a little. "So, what's up with you? I hear you talk to your self sometimes."

"I don't have a deal Hessa. I'm simply looking for the God Speaker." He replied sarcastically. "Out of kindness of my heart. Besides I need him."

"For what if you don't mind me asking?"

He breathed out a sigh. "For personal reasons of course.......selfish as well. I-"

Before Ishmael could finish another voice into the conversation in Hessa's mind.

"Selfish but noble." Samael's voice tone was calm but a sense of satisfaction on it.

"What the?" Hessa gwaked at the noise, "Who was that? did you here that?" she turned to Ishmeal eyebrows raised

"What are you doing?" Ishmael asked frantically.

"What are you doing?" Ishmael asked frantically.

"Testing our new power I got us from making a deal with Zafara."
    "You want!?"
"Yes. I exchanged our services and a challenge her to a game of wits for a fraction of her power."
"What!?" That was all Ishmael could manage to keep shouting to Samael in his mind.

"Calm down it was a worthy trade. Besides she maybe dead and even if not you have no reason to fear. Allow me to demonstrate what Zafra gifted us with."
Suddenly a shadow began to form behind Ishmael. Nox flooding from it,

"Holy shit there is a shadow coming out of my back!" He shouted as the eather started to make the air grow thick with emotions such as raw fear.

The nox started to form into a more humanoid shape Samael assumed with Zafara, "Your father asked who would judge Bahamut? Well here is your answer." The fallen said to Hessa his voice out in the open for all to hear and a new body for all to admire.

"Oh...oh.....crap." Ishmael muttered falling on his backside from sheer shock.

Hessa took one look at it, then one look at Ishmeal, then back at the shadow, and drew her sword. Fear shone in her eye's, fear and desperation.
    "F...fallen."

"Oh please put that thing away." Samael said waving one shadowy hand at Hessa his voice uncaring.

"Since when the hell can you do that!?" Ishmael shouted his face pale with utter confusion. He'd never actually seen a fallen taking a physical shape outside the body. Let alone Samael.

"Always I just needed the proper power to do so." Samael said offering Ishmael a hand.

Hessa's nerves began to slowly return to her, she gazed at Ishmeal a moment. Then thrust her sword just short of his neck, "Your host to a Fallen!" She yelled. "Give me one good reason, why I should not to purge you right now!"

Ishmael gulped as he looked up at her. "Because you're beautiful." He said jokingly as held up his hands in a surrendering fashion. He wanted no part of Hessa's blade at least when he was in such an odd position.

Suddenly Samael's hand shadowy arm stretched out and a hand with immense strength behind it clamped around Hessa's throat lifting her off the ground. "Odd. You do know you don't have the power to threaten us. Why do you try?" He asked actually curious

"Wow!" Ishmael screamed. "Put her down! I think the others are coming!"

"Ah. Best not they meet while I'm choking this woman."

"Not just that she's an ally!"

With that Samael's grip loosened and he dropped Hessa to the ground.

Hessa coughed, and wheezed, his strength was incredible! She looked up at Ishmeal, her fear replaced with hatred. "You, it's you isn't it? You are the one's who want to kill the good speaker? Why else would a fallen want her? Wait till my father hears, he'll stop you, I swear he will." She hissed, getting to her feet.

"I'll scream, and he'll come running, and then, all of Bahamuts wrath will reign upon you creature."

"Go ahead and scream but if you must know. We have no plans to kill the God speaker." Samael said with a shrug.

Ishmael nodded still unsettled by Samael. but mustered enough to defend himself from Hessa. "Yeah! Don't start pointing fingers! You're the one that threatened us with a sword!" Though you pulled a lance on her. Brilliant! He thought rolling his eyes. "Look we aren't trying to kill the God speaker and I'm the one that needs her."

"you have a GOD DAMN fallen in you! How the fuck do expect me to believe shit you say!" She yelled, "He said he was going to punish Bahamut, the god speaker is Bahamuts right hand man, did you stop to think what that thing might do to her!"

"Well you asked for a reason!' He shouted exasperated. Did this girl even try to hear them out!?

Samael cut in. "Both of you calm down. The God Speaker I have no quarrel with. I prefer to avoid causing harm those whom I do not have any issues with unless of course my host requires something. At the moment he requires The God Speaker."

"Yeah and I don't plan to harm him!" Ishmael said standing up his face nervous. Samael wasn't lying and neither was he at the moment. But Hessa was making things difficult.

Beads of sweat were still on her forehead. her eye's shifted from back and forth between them. "Why?" she asked.
"Tell me why you want the prophet demon, if you refuse I can only assume it's to harm her, and I won't let that happen I swear."

Ishmael's eyes narrowed and he shook his head at Samael.
    The shadow said nothing.

There was noway he was telling her what he had to do with the God Speaker. Also did she say her? Perhaps a slip of the tongue? Nonetheless he was not willing give his secrets.

"Might as well alert the others." Ishmael muttered with a defeated look.

"You're a dead man." She said weaving a spell, and blasting a hole through the inn ceiling. And suddenly everyone ran back, Hessa pointed to Ishmael, Samael still right beside him.
"he has a fallen in him..."

"That's a cocky thing to say boy." Pointing to Spring roll, he added."But you can't change fate, just look at her, there is nothing you can do if that happens to you, and if it's destined to happen ain't shit gonna stop god from screwing you. Not even the God speaker can change her fate I recon, but I suppose we shall see." Hidan said. I turned to face him. "...There is no inescapable fate, if you yourself condemn to another's fate, then you may as well drop to the ground dead now... you may not be able to rewrite the past, but you can certainly carve out the future. Even if god himself were to try to get in the way of that future... I will defy him until my very last breath, and even then... death will not create an obstacle for me or a barrier for him." I said, I turned around. "...The God Speaker is merely a secondary objective. I'd rather not rely on his fate, I'd rather bring about paradise by my own hands. That's why I came on this journey. I figured we'd have to go through unexplored ruins... I want to solve the mystery behind Venshara becoming a wasteland, through solving that mystery, I believe that I can reverse what has been done..." I said. "I'd just love to see him squirm like that, someone shattering his follower's faith and dependence on him... ah... what will you throw at me, demon?" I asked quietly, to no one in particular, then without waiting for a reply that I would never receive, I walked out of the inn.

When I heard the explosion I immediately ran back and saw Ishmael with a shadowy figure behind him, when Hessa said that he had a fallen inside of him... I bowed politely. "My name is Joe, what is yours?" I asked, referring to the Fallen, I didn't really care that Ishmael had a fallen within him.

Kyra’s rage still poured inside of it, yet the intervention of Ishmael caught its attention.
Huh? Is this guy seriously still complanining for the riddles?....

    Then it happened…

Something emerged from Ishmael, something that Kyra couldn’t comprehend, something unique to that person…. As soon as the being maniphested itself Kyra whistled and said.

“Fiiiiiuuuuu!!! Way to go Penboy that’s quite cool…” with surprise on its face.

Then chaos was born as the others feared the being calling it a fallen, something that Kyra was unable to comprehend, normally she would had labeled it at something bad due to the reaction and statements of the others…. Yet Kyra couldn’t comprehend it, as the truths that came from those who worshipped a devil reached to it with the impression of being tainted by foolish beliefs.

Yet then the hand of the fallen menaced the life of Hessa slowly gripping its neck. Kyra couldn’t accept this face, it moved its hand toward Golden Reverie and was about to draw it when the creature stopped, Kyra sighed as a relief.

"You're a dead man." She said weaving a spell, and blasting a hole through the inn ceiling. And suddenly everyone ran back, Hessa pointed to Ishmael, Samael still right beside him."he has a fallen in him..."

    "So what..." replied Kyra.
It's eyes caught Ishmael as she said... "Is not a good idea to introduce you via scaring them, Penboy..."
It then turned to Hessa.... "Yet why shall we reject it?, it has something to do with the religion thing also?" asked sarcastically.
"You know... I had a dream all the time I was unconscious in the pyramid.... I learned that I have something inside of me, something that may not be nice.... Who knows?, it may even be a fallen too?" said with a grin. "Will you try to kill me to if that were to be the case?... if it comes to that I'll just defend myself!!"
Then it touched it's chin with its hand and mumbled... "No.... perhaps that thing was the real me, my real memories, so maybe I don't have a fallen, maybe I am a fallen!!"

The hand of Kyra was touching the tip of Golden Reverie....

"Is not a good idea to introduce you via scaring them, Penboy..." Kyra said.

"Here we go! I didn't scare anyone. I didn't even know he could do that!" Ishmael shouted pointing at Samael.

The fallen simply tilted its head at Joe and Kyra. "Odd not the reaction I expected but then again you types are always surprising in your reactions. It is nice to meet you two as opposed to only speaking in your minds. As me and my host of been communicating" Even though Samael words were heard Samael's mouth never moved as he had no mouth.

Only a terrifying blank face that was pitch black. "Though I can only maintain this shadow for so long."

Samael hardly even gave glance as Kyra touched his weapon but Ishmael did. "Look Kyra, lets all just be calm here. Hessa's not gonna attack anyone.......except maybe me when she gets the chance." Damn Jakem would probably try to rip his guts out as well.

Finally having been addressed by the leader of the party, Millaria began to speak up again, to explain her purpose and seek his help, but her words fell on deaf ears. The room lost all harmony, and seemingly the entire party of adventurers began to argue and fight with one another over the intricacies of their God.

    “My name is Mil…”

Each time Millaria attempted to reach out to the old priest and introduce herself and explain her purpose, she was drowned out by shouting, and then, all hell broke loose.

A maelstrom of power exploded from the man named Ishmael, as an otherworldly being took form behind him and began to choke the life from the woman he had been arguing with. After a brief altercation, the woman referred to as Hessa spat an incantation, blowing a hole through the ceiling, causing the party to come rushing back into the inn.

Millaria was unsure of how everyone was going to react in the chaotic situation. Of all the people in the inn, Jakem seemed the most reasonable and least hostile, so she cautiously stepped around the swirling being called Samael and the animated corpse called Spring Roll, in attempt to make contact with Jakem and make sense of the nonsense that she was bearing witness to.

Approaching Jakem, he turned his attention towards her, and for the first time, Millaria was able to speak directly to him uninterrupted, despite the arrogant banter from the demonic shadow. Just loud enough for Jakem to hear her, she began:

“Priest Jakem, my name is Millaria of the Grove, and I have wandered many hundreds of miles across the wastes in search of you. A holy man in the company blasphemers, demons, and abominations are you not? Regardless of fate, I believe you are the man that I was sent to find.”

While addressing the man of faith, Millaria warily watched the undead girl with her massive weapon, preparing to dash if necessary.

“I must find the Godspeaker, and if what this soulless doll says is true, then both of us are running out of time.”

Hessa sneered. "You people are insane!" how could they be so calm? the fools.

I must find the Godspeaker, and if what this soulless doll says is true, then both of us are running out of time.”

"And sanity." Jakem mused, "Welcome to the team of Misfits, Mil as you know someone wants the prophet dead, as such I can't trust you just yet, at the same time we need all the help we can get."

Jakem turned to Ishmeal. "Put away the shadow son, we leave by first light tomorrow."

"Father what about the Fallen?" Hessa asked.

Jakem turned to leave his eye's deep in thought. "Our first goal is getting to the God speaker, I will deal with the Fallen, but not now."

"Odd not the reaction I expected but then again you types are always surprising in your reactions. It is nice to meet you two as opposed to only speaking in your minds. As me and my host of been communicating" Samael said. "I don't go on the words or opinions of others, just because they tried to drill it in my head that all fallen are evil beings that angered Bahamut, I'd rather meet and talk to one myself and create an opinion, besides, if he was listening to my speech back there, then I'm pretty sure I'm close to the top on his damning list." I said with an amused smile.

I looked over at Kyra as he put his hand on his sword. "Please calm down, there is no reason to start a fight over something so trivial." I said, well I was guessing he was a man... he could be female though...

    FALLEN!? Alavina thought fearfully.
There was a fallen, in that man? How could they have not noticed this earlier. And his strength...it was beyond normal.
The small fairy stayed in her seat and made herself as small as she could. No way she wanted to attract that creature's attention. As she watched Hessa react to the situation with calm and even strength, Aly felt a sense of admiration for the woman. She herself would've curled up into a ball and begged for mercy. Hessa stood up to it and prepared to fight it.

How can she be so brave and I so meek? Is it simply the fact that she is a soldier or was she born with innate bravery. Can one learn courage? Could she possibly teach me? Even though she does worship Bahamut.
As Jakem diffused the situation, Alavina made an internal promise. I'm going to get Hessa to teach me how to be brave and strong. I refuse to be a pathetic, weak fairy any longer. Weakness will not save my family. Only strength will.

Things settled down, although the Hessa was still unnerved by Ishmeals little secret, she gave him a look that could kill and sheathed her sword reluctantly.

Spring roll stood idly by as Joes finished up preparing for the next leg of the journey, Hessa still sour began training with her blade right outside, each thrust was accompanied by the image of Samuel dying a painful death.

Jakem went in, and began to recite his evening prayers. Hidan took in all of this like a hawk watching the earth his mind churning, he spotted Mila the plant lady, and suddenly got intrigued.

"Hey plant girl come over here!"

Illudes had watched the whole thing go over unnoticed -as he had abruptly turned invisible and oddly stayed near Ishmael because he was his prisoner. Well, not exactly prisoner, but still the fallen coming out of his back had left him petrified.

And yet he knew not what they were. Ignorance ate at him like a starving dog to a bone, and for a split second he flashed into visibility, his dark pupils contracted until they revealed the faintest trace of glowing red.

White feathers to blend with the sand...
    Claws that none can withstand....

Illudes shook his head as the disturbing words resonated in his mind. What was that supposed to mean?

The treasured haze of the evening sun melded with the stars each twinkling like diamonds under the sea. Golden sand shimmered from the horizon, turning into sapphire as the moons rose – Mythos, Revan and Santi. They formed a lineless triangle in the sky, though Mythos was much larger than the other two, and a quiet shade of red compared to their lifeless whites. Such a view. On the outskirts of Toloff Shae cut a lonely figure as the wind shifted moonlit sand around her boots, watching the night unfold.

The travel had been difficult. Three days and three nights had passed on tired Balus, each member bruised and battered, forcing their way on. The heat had been searing. The winds piercing. And the dunes unforgiving. Not only that, but at times the talk in the group had been mind numbing; from Hidan’s terrible jokes to Ishmael’s quiet chats to himself, not to mention Jakem and Hessa’s narrow stares and whispered secrets. They were all wary of her. They were all wary of each other.

This unstable concoction of power was surely destined to fail. Were any of these fools really up for the task? Most had stared at the Oracle’s death with complete revulsion, and Shae feared the worst was yet to come. Were they that innocent? That naive? The odds were truly stacked against them, and she knew deep down that this was a one way journey. If anything they had been lucky with Zafara, thanks to the interference from Zylgal and Faren saving their hides. She sighed with concern, her mind in thought as the sun’s last glow dissipated. Even if she did manage to survive – most of them wouldn’t.

She knelt in the ethereal sand and grabbed a handful, watching it slip through her fingers as the desert winds stole them away. Each grain disappeared into the pale night sky and Shae began to pray under the hum of the breeze.

    “Grant me the strength Lord
    For the task is hard
    And the path is long,
    This is my hunt.

    I pray thee
    Guide me to my bounty,
    I will not rest
    Until my mark is found.

    In shadows I see clearly
    In darkness I shine bright
In shades of black I comfort you
    With sharpened blades of night.”

She finished her words, only to keel over in pain. Her wound burned. The stomach raced with searing knots and Shae held her aching sides, pulling up the leather corset. There the wound sat on her bare abdomen, a raised scar of white tunnelling all over. It would take time; the elf root joining her skin together… painfully. The agony stopped and she caught her breath once more, sitting in the sand. In the pyramid she had survived again, but why? Who let her escape from Death’s sweet embrace? No… it did not matter. Only her mark mattered now.

Alavina watched Hessa training. Her look was one of intense concentration...and hatred.
Don't approach her. She's likely to kill you before she reliezes you're just an ally. Aly warned herself.
I have to talk to her. I may never get another chance. Besides...she herself told me I need to learn swordplay.
Aly approached and stopped a safe distance away. "Hessa?"

She looked over her shoulder. "Oh, it's you, glad to see your still alive." she thrust again. "What do you need?

"I...I want to learn sword play. I want to get strong."

"Is that so?" Hessa stopped and looked at her, "hmmm... you are a bit skinny."

Aly chaffed and her wings fluttered in annoyance. "So!? What's that got to do with anything?"

"Can you even lift a sword?" Hessa showed her a teasing smile.

"I don't suppose a staff counts." Alavina looked down at the ground. Who was she kidding? This woman had probably been training all her life, not to mention she was human. And humans were built for fighting. Fairies were small and quick. Built perfectly for evading and running, not standing strong and fighting. Even their bones were thin and light so they could fly. She wasn't built for battle.
"You know what, never mind." Aly smiled sadly, like she told a bad joke. "Fairies don't do swordplay. It was stupid idea."

Alavina began to walk away, as she did she heard a sudden roar of eather behind her, Hessa seemed to be in intense concentration, her brow knitted, sweat dripping. She walked over to the forge while weaving, and there she stayed.
2 hours past, and as Alavina was meeting up to start the next leg of the journey something shining dropped in front of her, it glowed with eather, it's blade a sliverish blue, Arcania has written on its hilt.

"That is the lightest I can make it, I call it the Zepher blade. And it's yours, but only if you are willing to wake up bright and early." Hessa grinned at her, "I am a strict teacher."

Alavina picked up Zepher. "Gentle breeze." She translated as she studied the workmanship. A smile lit her face as she looked over the beautifully crafted blade. It was about as heavy as a large peice of wood. She could already tell that practicing with it for more than a few minutes would made her muscles sore. But, she had a chance. A chance to get stronger, to learn swordplay and become an asset to not only this group but her family and even her race.
Aly held it's hilt tightly, mimicking the way Hessa held hers. "Yes. I'm willing. Thankyou." Her gratitude shone all over her face and her wings quivered with excitement.

"Then we begin as soon as we rest, for now keep it close get to know it." Hessa walked past her and patted her on the head, "We'll make a warrior out of you yet."

Tsubael's pen worked quickly, taking down everything as it breezed by her. The church was using a girl's undead corpse as a mercenary. Bahamut was a god-for-nothing lazy bastard. Plants could talk. Ishmael had a Fallen inside of him… no, wait... he had a fallen outside of him now… okay, now it was back inside. She recorded it all and even illustrated some of the finer points. Her drawings had all the detail of a black-and-white photograph. In fact, many of the automatons had been used for precisely that purpose.

Fifteen pages and two ink vials later, the commotion finally died down and everyone calmly went their separate ways. Tsubael shut her book. The debate had given her a lot to think about, especially Spring Roll's situation. Were they alike? Tsubael didn't think so. She had a soul; Spring Roll did not. She could think for herself and go against her programming; Spring Roll could not. Her master's were extinct; Spring Roll was still someone's slave.

But, for some reason, it still stung every time they called the girl an 'abomination.' The word hurt Tsubael in ways it shouldn't have.

There is no time for such thoughts, she decided and headed out to buy water. An hour later, her flasks were refilled and the sun was setting when she returned to the tavern. The weapon she'd built still needed some attention. It wasn't quite complete, so she set down, laid the spring-loaded clockwork scythe on the table and began honing its edge with a whetstone.

It was late and she knew the organics would probably be going to sleep soon… but she'd be right here… waiting… like always.

"Oh come on! I was the cool one with Arcaina words on my weapons!" Ishmael said annoyed by Aly's find as he watched everyone.

Samael had faded back into him and he was simply enjoying his time being given death glares by Hessa.

"Why the hell would you cause such a scene?" Ishmael said venom dripping from his words.

    "Simple."

    "Care to explain?"

"I decided to reveal myself. I feel it could be better for our order of operations."

"Order of operations what is this math?" Ishmael blinked.

"In a way. I'm calculating the way things shall play out. It doesn't matter though at the moment. Very few of them trust me. "

"Why shouldn't they. Your goals seem more noble then mine."

"Maybe because I'm a fallen." Samael said tone obvious. "One whom seeks to overthrow the monster they call God. I think it is you whom is more noble to honest. You simply seek revenge. That is something my kind respects."

"Needless to say what are you playing at? You could at least tell me."

"Simple....I'm, more so you will relate to them. Get to know these people better and gain their trust. Whether it be gained through lies or honesty I'll leave up to you."

"What does this have to do with revealing yourself?" Ishmael asked

"Revealing myself placed a certain level of trust or distrust between them and us. They will either remain distrustful of us or come to trust us with time. Depending which occurs will determine how our plans take effect."

"You know something? I'd never want to know how fallens think."

"Funny I was going to say the same thing about you."
