Hey, guys. Long time no see? Seriously, it's been too long for anyone who remembers me from a year or so ago lol Life's been keeping me pretty busy but I figured it wouldn't hurt to get back on here

Due to pressures at home, I'm going to be taking an unknown amount of time away. It could be as little as a few days, or as long as a year, I don't know at the moment. Hopefully the former. Play nice while I'm gone

 

I missed the existence of this thread, so I forgot to announce my temporary absence. In any case, I'm semi-back.

 

I think it's time for a short sabbatical from this forum. Too many repetitive topics, too many "I'm right and you're wrong" arguments and a resulting increased level of irritability on my part that serves no positive purpose.

Gone fishin'.

Well this is no good. I get back from a 2-week break from my computer, to find you've gone fishing? I understand the impulse, but please come back soon. You're one of my favourite contributors.

 

Not really leaving but I thought I should mention until I finish my sci-fi short story, I'm postponing any lengthy contributions to two of the heavier discussions, female gender under/misrepresentation in movies/stories, and that whole side track in the poverty and religion thread about how rude atheists are. So I'm still around, and still posting less time consuming comments but to do those two noted subjects justice I'll come back to them after the 20th.

 

Ah. It seems a week was exactly what was needed, along with a bottle of hand crafted, oak filtered, well-aged perspective.

Alas, the fish were not biting. I did, however, manage to move the ball downfield somewhat on my current project, so I'm hoping to maintain momentum going forward.

I must say, it is lovely to come back to the well-wishes of good friends. Cog, Liz, Duchess, and Jannert, thank you so very much.
