I've stalled at 6,700 words... This chest cold may be enough to take me out of commission for this years contest.

Stopped with a headache at 10k. I woke up late and have been really nervous about tomorrow, when I have to get up at around 6. I want to write more, but I have to tell myself I need to get to sleep. UGH.

I am currently writing my first novel in an attempt to win the NaNoWriMo 30 day challenge. I began writing my synopsis and wondered if a synopsis needs to be written in the same past or present tense as the story is written in? Or does it not really matter?

Can a synopsis be written in present tense, while the story is written in the past?

I think it's typically in 3rd PoV, present, and very active.
Kind of like you telling a quick story to a friend as its happening.

After a long day of work that left me physically and emotionally tired, I managed to hit 45k words. 5k more...and then even more, because my novel isn't remotely done.

Had my best writing night last night over 2800 words. But I'm a little nervous, I'm writing the story in sections and I just finished Part One
and today I'm crossing over into Part Two. A new character arrives - the 'villain' and the ante is upped. Definitely a little
anxious - I have no idea who the villain is I'm thinking of giving him cowboy boots, it is farming town, but the idea of snakeskin
    boots sounds so cliche.

Whew, did a twenty-minute word sprint and managed to churn out 1.2k words.

And now, I am finally complete at 50k words. Well, for NaNoWriMo. I still have to finish the novel, because it's not complete yet.

Congrats, KR! Awesome that you now have all this time to finish, cruise or even polish.

Last night was my worst writing night. - ( I always wanted to try out the mad-frowny face )
I was starting my second part ( major story change ) and introducing my villain
and it was rough but I struggled through. And I even managed to stay above 1700. I think it was 19 something something.

I feel so horrible, I've had some health issues and haven't kept up. I just have my 1,400 words.

Nearly half-way on Horror Movie, but by the time I hit half-way I'll have used up all the scenes I thought about before I started. Then again, I just need to kill off most of the characters in the second half and figure out an ending :).

22k. I'm at that point where I want to stop writing - I blame it on a malfunction with the coffee this morning. The caffeine disappeared and I was stuck with decaf. Decaf. You can't write novels on decaf coffee.

Egyptians. That's why they demand litter, as it reminds them of the desert.

16,000 for me so far. Behind where I wanted to be by now, but it's not too bad.

I seem to be doing more during the week when I'm busy than at the weekend when I'm not
