I'm a man of wealth and taste~ Howdy, everyone. I'm Pfeffernusse, an undergraduate creative writing student in the great state of Colorado, and I'm looking forward to the long slog through graduate/doctoral school and the soul-crushing work of a creative writing professor. My work has been published once in an undergraduate literary journal, and I've done my fair share of professional and academic editing for my own university's publications. Creative writing is the most accessible method of self-expression available to contemporary society. Anyone can type or dictate or scribble words on the back of a Chinese take-out menu, and it saddens me that people think that it's a chore or that they "can't write." My motto is that everyone has at least one good story in them, and they aren't allowed to quit until they share it.
Welcome! Welcome to the madhouse! Sorry I didn't say hello earlier. Your description of your life sounds a little tough but hang in there! And yeah, I like what you said about writing. Most people can on some level or another come up with an entertaining story, or at least a good concept that could become an entertaining story. Hope I continue to see you around!
I was a tommy, I confirmed a new member joined the madhouse, I suffered a lot from the social pressures of work life ... after time wandering the social networks I have found the forum and found it very interesting you fit I should have registered to participate.
My mum spent the earlier part of her education in the Netherlands, in Holland. Their education system is better than Australia or America. I'm jealous.
I went to kindergarten there. My mother is from Holland, and my father was on a U.S. Navy submarine at the time, so my mother took me to live with her family. I remember it fairly well, and of course have been back a lot since then. I like the country.
I know right?! I ended up looking it up and I didn't realize it was those biscuits! Mommy, I learnt a word!
When you think your vocab is good enough, here comes the Germans! Well, I might as well try the biscuit after all that...
Oh, thank you. I'm up near the Wyoming-Colorado border so not much snow here. I do too. I'm a military brat, so we'd find it in the commissary.
