This is supposed to be a happy song but here is it's sad sounding version. Beautiful voice. Also, from the same album:
This (it is actually one of my favourite songs) Or this (another one of my favourites) I don't really listen to them too often though, they're something that when they come on a radio or a playlist I just stop and listen to. There is very little music I do that with.
Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles & an old OLD song my daddy used to listen to all the time by Hank Williams - starts something like "Hear that lonesome whippoorwill". I should look up the Beatles song. Haven't listened to it in ages.
This is great! I'd forgotten... I LOVED this song when I was like 8 or 9. Strange. I remember standing staring out the window like I was ER. Weird kid.
I know what that feels like. Folks don't think you have a connection with your soulmate but you do - it's just somewhere only YOU know. Exciting!
Country music sets the bar on sad songs. I remember playing FF as a kid, this song rolled me into a ball and beat me with feelings.'
It's so weird... this song made me so cheerful yesterday, really romantic happy. I posted it somebody. I was walking to and from work with this playing in my ears and smiling, breathing in the smell of oncoming spring and thinking life was great. I was just so happy... But in the early hours of this morning after waking up, I listened to it as I was writing a reply to someone... and I suddenly found it so terribly sad when I think of a friendship lost. It made me cry and suddenly became the saddest song ever. I think it's one of those songs, it depends on what goes through your mind. And it triggered a memory of a happy and important time, of someone who I took for granted. It made me think happiness is fleeting, that you can lose it so quickly from the lack of care. I suspect I will always hear this song and feel sad now.
@Cave Troll I've stopped watching this thread now because your song made me cry too much. Boy, that's an emotional song. Can't deal with anymore songs like that!
Lets see if I can bring this depressing thread back to life. Ironic how the resurector @Cave Troll killed a thread for once.
Now I am more confused. This is the saddest song thread, is it not? Also I am sorry for making a few shed a tear or two.
It was supposed to be funny... A mixture of how you usually bring threads back from the dead/you did what the OP asked to such an extreme that people couldn't take it.
Now I feel like a dolt. Though I had no idea that of all the people on this thread that I could have found such a depressing song.
