East Coast time zone is three hours ahead of the West Coast so on any given day they would be paid first -
Course if you live in the UK you'll get paid even earlier , and get paid more (but the cost of living is so high you'll be worse off)
Yes, probably best to live and work in a small country town or hamlet where life is more simple and the temptation to spend much less -
To be honest its the basic cost of stuff like fuel which is actually worse away from the cities - I filled my car up today and diesel was £1.18 per Litre .. I CBA to do the exact maths but that's over $5 a gallon ... and about 60% of the cost is tax.
Japan FTW! Not too many places closer to the dateline than us, and our cost of living is reedonkulous!
The price of fuel there is about twice what we pay in the states or at least here in Washington State; however, I understand what you are saying. I think the challenge for many people is scaling down to a manageble lifestyle whereas all the money one makes isn't just going into a roof over their head and repairs/fuel for their car.
Not to mention that the pay in my field is crap - I make just over £25k per year as a department head - that's $30,679 in USD
Am I in some bad Twilightzone episode? Well 2016, I want my brother back you son of a bitch! Guess you really are the shittiest year. Last month you took his mother, and yesterday him. There are no words of how much pain you have caused this year. 27 years you gave one of the most wonderful people to have ever lived. I love and miss you Brother.
Yes, but now every time I make a typo, you'll think "Some English teacher you are!" instead of "Damn, you're doing a good job writing in English." My stolen esteem has evaporated
@Spencer1990 well I am sure people don't know how to drive down there. They sure as hell don't up here. Been 10 or so years since I have been to Phoenix.
Are you in Northern AZ? And, no, the driving is terrible, and I feel like traffic gets worse by the day. I always joke with my wife that the 101 is well on its way to being like the 405 is in LA. haha.
Yep, just east of Snowflake. Land where blinkers are entirely optional. Though I remember Phoenix as being a place where you had to worry about getting run over by the guy behind you. Crazy place.
And not knowing what the economic future holds in either country even six months from now is scary. There appears to be no choice but to do the best we can with the resources we have.
Thats been situation normal since 2008 over here - I've also got the added complication that my boss seems to be trying to force me out and while i'm fighting i will probably lose eventually. I say fuck it and go self employed sooner or later as I could live without the stress
As someone who's been self-employed, I can say self-employment does not lead to a stress-free life. You can be at least as stressed working for yourself as working for someone else.
Not in this day and age. Many people spend more than they make and continue to increase their debt by over extending their credit - much like the federal govt. here in the U.S. Then when the ax falls, it falls with a vengence.
