My Internet connection went down around 1:30 last night and was still out this morning. I spent all day at my job sick to my stomach, sure it was because I'd forgotten to pay my service bill last month, and even sicker because I don't have the cash to make it up right now.

The only reason this isn't on the Not Happy thread is because a phone call to my provider got me a remote reset, and yes, I did pay my August bill.

But my nerves are still in knots. Bartender, a shot of Cardhu, if you please. Double, and put it on my tab.

unfortunately she's taken but she agreed to go out and do something anyway as a friend thing. Which is all I really care for at the moment anyway. I hope she doesn't regret it.

Well, I had three subscribers on my YouTube channel...now I only have two.

It's weird, but even though I didn't have THAT many subscribers (three, total) ...I feel a strange sense of loss at that on subscriber...and there's a voice in my head telling me I'm a failure as a YouTuber.

So do you have a link to your channel in your profile here? Or is that permitted under the rules?

Thanks. :) I might end up deleting/putting on private some of my earlier videos if I ever show it on Facebook. I mean, my friends and family would hardly like the idea that I made a video like this:

Wow, I can't believe it's so quiet in here.

Last post was in November? I remember back when I was a regular on this forum, anytime you'd log in there'd be someone or the other always on - and a few people who were always here.

There`s still regulars like that who always seem to be about but they seem to frequent other threads then this one now a days. Useless facts has become the most popular outside of the writing.

I have a job as a soil lab technician, where I basically test soil samples for construction purposes. It's really fun, and the guys here are hilarious to work with.

I have just joined this site and I see that this thread doesn't receive a lot of traffic, but I'd like to get to know anyone who is willing to talk about... well, anything, I suppose. I like to make new friends and am looking for a new community to become somewhat integrated into, but I am horribly awkward, so I don't really know how to initiate new conversations or jump into old ones.

I see a few people were talking about working... I work. It's not a great job, but it's a job, and I don't seem to be expendable, so it's not all bad, I reckon. I do aspire to have a nice career in something writing-related one of these days, though.

Every so often the wind picks up, and Like brave young Dorothy, you find yourself caught up in a storm that takes you to a strange new world. And when the wind changes you find yourself back almost unexpectedly. Suddenly everything feels like a long sleep. Did you really fall down the rabbit hole or was it just a dream? (Cuz Alice in Wonderland and The Wizardof Oz use similar archetypes lol)

Anyway, The wind has blown me around, but at long last, I'm cycling back to the familiar. Hopefully being here will gove me that feeling of home I seem to be seeking, now.

I feel likewise, Andrae. My six months away from home are coming to a close, but they are dragging. Flights home are ever changing based on work, making it hard on scheduling for my family and I. I am ready to go home. It's been far too long, and I'm tired talking over bad internet to my loved ones.

Six months flew by like a dream, but the last weeks are painfully slow. I suppose that's how anything in life is when anticipation builds an aura around it.

Also, in a strangely vicarious manner, im enjoying reading my old posts from my old profile almost 7 to over 8 years ago. Its like following a strange character I faintly recognize. Surprised at how much has changed, and even more at things that haven't.
