Zokmod watched as the creature made to fly away, presumably to live and fight another day, and Realiti flew into the beast to stop it. He was nervous at first when he saw this because of Arzian's warning; what would happen if the two of them made physical contact? Would they all simply cease to exist on the spot? Then he saw Realiti's strategy: she used two large boulders as a buffer between her fists and the creature's skin. She could attack this way without worrying about touching the thing. Clever. Still, it was very risky, because if the beast even grazed her in retaliation, it might all be over for everyone despite all their valiant efforts thus far.

He turned his attention to the Immortal Legions, now arranged in neat lines at the top of the slope of the mountain where the fighting had begun. The cavalry was at the front, thousands of lances at the ready in groups of 20 horses per line so as to fit them all on the narrow mountain passage. The infantry and the long range elemental spirits were arranged behind the cavalrymen and the archers were behind the infantry. All was ready. They just needed the order and they would begin the charge. Unfortunately, this plan required the beast to be on the ground. Oh, well, that's all right, Zokmod thought. Realiti needs support before the thing counterattacks, and he needs to come back down to Ignus so our plan can proceed. We can solve both problems at once. This is the type of situation archers were made for.

Leading troops really was not Zokmod's specialty; that was supposed to be Borin's job. Zokmod was soft-spoken and without much charisma or power. He much preferred to work from the shadows where none would recognize his deeds. Incapacitated as Borin still was, unfortunately, the duty fell to him. The mantle of command sat awkwardly on his shoulders, but he would bear it nonetheless. "ARCHERS!" he called "Bring that monster down! GO!"

Next he called to Realiti: "Do not let that thing touch you, milady! It could spell disaster! Also, watch for falling arrows, lest we have to call you Lady Porcupine forever hereafter!" He hoped she could hear him. It would be tragic if she got hit with friendly fire by mistake. The risk would be worth it, however, if they could prevent the two from making contact and ending them all with one sad mistake.

The spirits armed with bows raised their weapons as one and fired a huge volley. Thousands of arrows rose and, as they did, were enchanted by the powers of the fire spirits so that their arrowheads were ablaze. They darkened the sky for a moment with their sheer volume and, all at once, came down like a rainstorm of flickering fireballs. Most of the arrows landed in the vicinity of the monster. Some, however, mysteriously found their way into Khaline's animal companions and several went straight for the Goddess herself, even as a crack in the fabric of reality started to appear beneath her feet. These arrows, it seemed, came from spirits who had friends killed in her prison raids or in her recent hail of arrows that accompanied her appearance on the battlefield. Khavenda and Khaline's Shadow Wolves suddenly sprouted dozens of arrows each and caught fire thanks to the lit arrowheads.

Zokmod could not tell how many arrows hit the creature itself, nor could he tell if they actually did any damage, but he was not in the business of taking foolish chances and assuming the arrow volley actually hurt the thing would be a foolish chance. He gave the next command:

"Lightning Spirits! Advance! Give it everything you have and then some! I want that thing grounded! We will not let it get away!"

A group of wispy, green energy beings responded in the lines of infantry. This was not the small group of 30 that Yurius took with him to distract the monster; this was the entire group of lightning spirits, hundreds, all in formation and at the ready. As before, they struck as one and the battlefield was again enshrouded in dark clouds. The lightning did not hit the battlefield this time, however. The metal in the arrowheads fallen on or near the creature's body caused the arrows to act as lightning rods, directing the normally difficult-to-control lightning straight to them.

Anything riddled with arrows was violently struck by an explosive bout of lightning.

Zokmod could not tell if Khaline's bird or her wolves were still breathing, but they certainly were not moving, and, even if they still lived, they certainly would not be running or flying anytime soon after a barrage of fire arrows and a massive bolt of lightning.

That was not the intention of this attack, but, hey, accidents happen, Zokmod thought with a mental shrug. It was no less than the wretched wench deserved for all her mischief. Yurius might frown on the idea of vengeance, but that did not prevent his men from having a mean vindictive streak.

He could not tell if Khaline herself had been hit nor if Realiti had gotten out of the way in time, but he hoped fervently that the former was dead and the latter was safe.

Zokmod watched with baited breath to see if the creature would fall. The second it hit the ground, he would give the order for the archers to fire the next volley and then for the cavalry to charge down the mountain straight at the thing. If only it would go down...

Arzian looked to the lighting spirits that had hit the godess and her creatures, a snarl on his face, as he flew to Yurius. "Get your men under control fool, or else every living thing on both planets goes." He barked, before moving over to strike again, before returning to fight the creature, continuing to tear off more of the creature, ripping and tearing at will.

Both of Khaline's wolves managed to escape, diving into shadows, however, her bird and herself were not so lucky. The former died, plummeting to the ground and landing on several of Yurius's legion, however, when she herself was struck, something strange happened. Neither the gods nor the spirits could feel it, but anything born of nature, from the mightiest tree to the smallest of beasts felt it. A pain struck at them, sharp as if struck by lightning themselves. Though more harm was to come.

Arzian glanced around as he felt it. His beak slightly agape. "I." He seemed shocked for a moment answer, and a flailing tentacle sent him spiralling to the ground, though unlike Khaline, he quickly got up and went back at it, once again ripping a the beast.

Nature and savagery were sleeping. Bloodlusts across both worlds seemed sated, fury was calmed and hatred lessened. Yet at the same time, flower's would no longer bloom, trees would no longer give fruit, and crops would bear no more food. Not until nature awoke.

Several arrows cut through Oblivion's wings and body, slowing it down significantly. Then Realiti smashed into it, flinging the creature several miles away. Oblivion let out a cry of pain and surprise. Then he turned in mid air and struck at the goddess with all six feet.

While its attack smashed the pair of earthen fists to dust, it did little to move the goddess. That was not what the creature intended.

Its attack sent its soaring upwards, with more momentum than its wings could ever accomplish. "No," Eliphon said calmly, as he suddenly realised what the creature was planning. He appeared in front of it, and raised his weave, but he wasn't fast enough, and a tentacle sent him flying away.

Oblivion opened its horse mouth, and the snake-toungue shot out of it. The snakehead opened its mouth, and wrapped itself around Meerac. Darkness suddenly fell across both world. Ignus and Rephlon looked up in fear at the same time, and gave a cry that could be heard all across the cosmos. The monster's body began to grow, stretch out. Suddenly its skin lost the flowing texture it had, as the spirits stretched thin over a rocklike substance. Red light shone through cracks in its body, being the only illumination the worlds could get. And with that weak light, every living creature could see Oblivion, and its size easily surpassed that of both planets.

The creature stood upright, its middle legs resting one on each planet.

Yurius cursed as the wounded wolf took the prone form of its mistress away. How aggravating that he should fail to catch her at her most vulnerable. Well. He would see she faced the consequences of her actions one day, even if that day was not today.

He heard Arzian's rebuke about his men and accepted that it was a momentary lapse in discipline, but he was also puzzled. Did he not see Khaline just emerge from seemingly no where and start blasting random soldiers to death with arrows from the top of her bird? Arguably, the remaining men acted in self-defense, for surely they felt threatened given how many of them she had killed in past raids and also just moments ago when she unleashed a storm of arrows upon them for absolutely no reason. Where was Khaline's lecture?

Well, confusing as the apparent bias was, it didn't really matter right now. At the moment, there were bigger problems to deal with. A planet-sized Oblivion monster loomed above and Yurius had little idea what to do about it. He had no abilities nor soldiers capable of toppling such a large creature. The other Gods might have a trick or two that could help, though...

"Eliphon, as the God of Entropy and Decay, can you not age the star inside its stomach until it explodes as a supernova? The beast's body would contain the blast, preventing damage to the planets, while the explosion would hopefully cause great internal damage to it and also deny it the ability to draw on the star's power, weakening it considerably. Realiti can maintain the worlds' gravity so the planets' orbits do not destabilize while they are without a star around which to travel. She can also hopefully create another star when all is said and done to support the two worlds."

Spinning away from the monster as it crushed her rock armour and as an arrow sprouted from her leg, Realiti quickly but painfully killed the lightning spirit who had shocked her. She would not let the weather best her. Calling to the other gods, she quickly landed awkwardly by Yurius as the beast grew. "We need to regroup, we are spread too thin. As are the brains of your supposed 'archers', Yurius. We can't possibly hope such petty things as arrows can stop it!" Taking a deep breath, she yanked the arrow from her leg and ignored the blood that started to gush out.

Pulling from within the robes, Azrian's silver coin came to the light. "I may be able to hold together these worlds before they spin into darkness, but not for long. But I will not leave this fight unaided as I wish to add my own archers." Snapping a quarter of the coin away, Realiti raised it into the air after she hid the rest. Quickly murmuring to it, she threw it as far as she could. Wherever the coin piece passed over, tall men and woman sprung up. The men had long beards and flowing robes. The woman were tall and calculated with their ink green robes. Complimenting the men's star black and deep purple. In their hands, they held a weapon which bore a resemblance to the arrow Realiti held.

As one each of the people raised their weapons. About 100 people in total, the firsts humans on Ignus were wizards and witches. When Realiti raised her hand and gave them an obvious 'go' signal, half of them started shooting silvery-blue orbs from their wands. These orbs spawned into archers who never missed, swordsmen who never lost a fight, and healers who could heal many injuries. Each of them joined the Immortal Legions, glowing with a blue outline. Until the spell was discontinued or they died. The other half of Realiti's army split into two sides once more. One side started to create a shield around Ignus, chanting of lost civilisations and memories, ones that spoke of death, sorrow, and sadness too great for anyone to understand. Those who listened too closely to the cry of these spellcasters would go insane after some time. The final side was the offense. The final 25 mix of wizards and witches began to shoot offensive spells at the creature, without much effect. But here and there some spells worked. A spell of the fire of hate swept a hole into the monster, about a gods-length wide. Another spell, one of justice tore an unfair amount of skin from the monsters foot. And so forth. It was at that point Ignus started to rock, and Realiti quickly started to maintain the gravity, with four of her archers gaurding her.

Arzian looked to Yurius as he spoke, a brow raised. "You don't realise what that thing is, do you?" He asked, raising a brow, 0r whatever his version of that was, considering that his face was avian. The god had never quite questioned that before, and for a moment, he felt the urge to touch where his brow would be, though now was not the right time. Not even close. "That is one of us, it's a product of him." He stated, before pointing to Eliphon. "Not a willing one, no, but a product he creates none the less. That is nothing, in its most literal sense. A complete vacuum with nothing in it." Arzian rolled his neck. "The worst thing is that we can't kill it, or not permanently." He spoke under his breath. They could destroy its current physical avatar but after a certain amount of time, it would return, not in that body, but a new one. Once again, he leapt at the creature, starting to claw at it. Then, the new strain of life appeared. Realiti had done it and created humans. He merely hoped that none of them would gain too much pride from slaying the beast, lest the seed he planted within their design take effect.

Yurius stopped a moment to observe the new creatures on the battlefield that Realiti created. Though the Legions had not taken too many heavy casualties as yet, the new...humans, were they called?...were doing an admirable job reinforcing them. The new beings were tenacious and fought with unrivaled vigor; the God of Justice could sense a fire in them that was unlike anything he had known before. Individually they were weak, yet their spirit, their bonds with one another, their willingness to fight as one to the bitter end no matter the odds, was a kind of strength the two worlds had not yet known, even among the Simians and the Dragons. These beings are something completely different from anything that has come before and they are clearly very special. They will either elevate this universe to new heights or destroy it utterly with the fiery, indomitable spirit that I sense from them, Yurius thought. I shudder to think which it will be...

Still, even with the efforts of the Legions and the humans combined, Yurius had little hope that they could do much damage to a monster so massive. It was easily larger than either planet Ignus or Rephlon and the leg was correspondingly the size of several continents combined. Even with weapons designed to do damage to divine entities like Goddess Ignus had armed his men with, they were like insects beating their little antennae against a mountain. It seemed unlikely they could do any real harm to it that way. No, brute force would not win this day. They needed some kind of plan, something that could actually harm a creature so large...

Yurius thought about Arzian's analysis and tried to think of their options. If it would regenerate upon death into a new body, then perhaps it would be best not to kill it at all. If it had the chance to regenerate, it could reappear anywhere at anytime and cause any untold amount of destruction. To avoid that, perhaps it would be best to simply let it keep its current physical form, but find a way to prevent it from doing any damage as it is. That way, it could not harm the universe in its current form, but there would also be no danger of it reincarnating into something more powerful to wreak havoc somewhere else before anyone could do anything about it.

"Could we perhaps imprison it somewhere it cannot escape? We cannot do that as it is now, obviously, but perhaps if we weaken it to the point that it can do no more harm in its current physical form, and then, instead of killing it so that it can regenerate into something more dangerous, we then simply imprison it in its weakened form someplace it can do no harm...maybe that is the best way to deal with this. As to how to weaken it..."

It seemed to draw its power from absorbing other energy sources and then parasitizing their strength for its own ends. Certainly there must be some way to use that knowledge...

"As I suggested before, we may be able to weaken it considerably by denying it access to the spirits it is drawing strength from. Every so often, those spirits it has consumed attempt to make an escape from its body, resulting in those tentacles that shoot out of it and are suddenly retracted before they can detach. Perhaps I can open a portal through which the spirits can travel when they attempt to detach themselves. When they travel through the portal, still attached to the thing, I can close it suddenly. The portal would act like a guillotine and forcibly amputate the spirits from the creature before he could force them back into itself. "

"I might even be able to create a portal large enough for its massive new leg to fall through and then close it on that when gravity pulls it through, detaching the spirits in its limb that way. I have never tried to create a portal so large as a whole planet, though, and I do not know if it would work or what the consequences of such a large tear in the fabric of space and time would be."

Yurius tried to think of as many possible plans as he could. How many ways could they use this creature's source of strength against it?

"Additionally, if that does not work, what if we were to force it to feed on something that could do it harm? Arzian, do you know of anything it might consume that would be antithetical to its nature? Something that would hurt it instead of give it strength? If it was born from Lord Eliphon, then perhaps something he owns would do it? His staff of fate, maybe?"

"Yet another possibility is that we might feed it too much for it to handle, if such an upper limit even exists. Realiti can create without limit, so perhaps she can simply keep feeding it fodder until it bursts like a balloon and is left alive only as a shriveled shell."

"Does anyone have any other ideas? Pure force has failed, as has attacking it separately without coordinating our efforts. We must have some kind of strategy and we must act as one. I am open to objections or to any further suggestions."

Yurius waited to see if the others would respond.

350 As the new humans appeared on Ignus, Oblivion's gaze shofted humgrily from one to another, seemingly forgetting everything else, including the damage some of these humans were doing to him.
"New..." a voice rumbled, deep within its chest. "New creation..."

As Arzian and Yurius were talking, Arzian suddenly saw Eliphon, staring at them quietly. The god drifted towards them.

"Well done, Yurius," he said. "If you want, I am pretty sure I can set you up as a god of knowledge, seeing as you're doing such a great job at it."
    He turned towards the creature.

"It is true that if we kill it, the monster will rise again. But it has only risen in the first place due to our carelessness. Once we kill it, I will make sure that it will not be done again."

He drew out his weave, as the creature's gaze was still focused on the newly created humans. It wrapped around the hulking form several times, and tightened, glowing with a blinding golden light that illuminated both planets even more so than the creature itself.

    Oblivion's attention was finally averted.
"Fool," it rasped, a voice that carried across the worlds. "Do you really want to succimb me to my fate, Eliphon? The one where I swallow this reality on its whole? Your powers hold no dominion over me, old man, for when you cause death, I am the cause for oblivion, no pun intended."

"Old man?" said Eliphon wryly. "Why, I don't look a day under 300, child. And who said anything about your fate?"
As he spoke, the light beneath the creature's skin glowed ever more brightly. It began to swell, buteven as it did, its grip on the planets weakened.

"No," it screamed. And out of its body suddenly erupted so many of the tentacles that it resembled a nest of vipers more than anything else. These tentacles, millions of them, all shot towards Eliphon, as he struggled to hold on to his weave. And at the same time it held the two planet together. With no more than a push, Rephlon and Ignus smashed into each other.

For the first time in their existance, Rephlon and Ignus saw each other. For a moment they looked, one god into the other's eyes, and then they lay together, in a cave from Ignus interwined with a Rephlon forest.

While Rephlon and Ignus smashed into each other, and her children met for the first time, Realiti was struggling to hold onto the gravity of both worlds. Her archers stood as silent sentinels which aimed to kill should someone approach her. Realiti herself was kneeling in the centre of the four archers. She struggled to hold the gravity of the planets stable, but occasionally a wizard, tree, or Immortal Legion went flying into the atmosphere. Which was very unfortunate, for they instantly were killed by the pressure. It was as if the together planets of Rephlon and Ignus was a ball of clay with a giant rock, Oblivion, protruding from within. It was as if Realiti had her hands around this ball of clay with the rock, holding it together. Her life force was draining as she attempted to keep things stable. If she was to die or let go even a little, the worlds would break and spin into nothing. She needed energy, a gods force of it.

The wizards continued their assault on Oblivion, with no obvious effect. The wizard who was doing the most damage was one named Chanter. He was a skilled wizard and had personally made the archers who guarded Realiti. Close behind him was a witch named Whart. Whart supported Chanter as he was using an enormous amount of magic. He had four spirit impersonators, which was already a hard spell, he was shooting an array of spells that lasted for a long duration, while still shooting fire from his wand and lightning from the sky. Any other wizard would have already died.

    (To clear things up:
When Realiti created the wizards, they were born with Realiti's understanding and memories of her life. So they already know whats up, so they arent starting out as just-born new humans. )

When Eliphon flew high into space and wrapped Oblivion in his net, the previously dim light that emanated from the thing suddenly brightened and Yurius immediately saw what the God of Entropy was trying to do. The creature also saw what was about to happen, for it stopped focusing on anything but Eliphon and sent a sea of tentacled limbs straight for him. If Eliphon's attack were interrupted now, the creature would be on guard against such a strategy in the future. They would not have a better chance to do a massive amount of damage to the thing than what they had right now. The task seemed clear. They had to defend Eliphon from the tentacles until the star exploded inside of Oblivion. Yurius decided that now was a good time to try his guillotine strategy and see if he couldn't free the spirits that comprised those tentacles...

There was only one problem. The way Eliphon, his weave, and Oblivion's tentacles were arranged, it would be difficult to open a portal that encompassed all the tentacles without also cutting the weave. The tentacles were approaching Eliphon parallel to the weave, above, below, and to the left and right of it, so if Yurius tried to open one big portal for all to travel through at once, the weave, stuck in the middle of all of them, would be cut by the portal in the opening process. Yurius was going to have to get creative here. He'd never made a portal as anything but one circular opening, but could he perhaps affect the shape of the openings as well as the size? He was going to have to try.

Yurius focused as hard as he was able. This would not only be an experiment in shaping the portals to his will, but it would also be bar none the largest portal he had ever created, planet sized in order to be able to catch all the millions of tentacles before they could interfere with Eliphon's attack. It would have to be perfect, lest the portal cut the weave and he ruin the offensive himself. He felt the magic start to percolate within him as he focused all his efforts on the shape and size he wanted the portal to be.

Around the weave directly in front of Eliphon's hand, suddenly large cracks began to appear in midair. All at once, they split open into a large donut-shaped opening placed directly between Eliphon and the fast approaching tentacles. From the middle of the donut came the weave, unaffected by the hole that had opened up on all sides of it. The tentacles were hurdling at Eliphon too quickly for them to stop their momentum or change direction mid-attack when the portal opened between them and their target, even if Oblivion realized what was about to happen. Instead of finding Eliphon and preventing their master's suffering, as expected, millions of tentacles blasted through the open hole in space and time. The portal led back to a random location in the Underworld. Yurius decided that he would send all the poor dead souls the creature had forcibly absorbed back home to where they belonged if at all possible. Whatever their sins or their deeds, they had suffered enough in life; such an unnatural fate as being eaten and abused by a monster of nothingness was just too cruel.

Once as many of the attacking tentacles as possible were lodged into the portal, Yurius slammed it shut as hard as he could before Oblivion could retract them back into itself. As it shut, he watched carefully to see if the tentacles would be sliced off and the spirits that comprised them would be free...

Arzian gave a frown at Yurius. "I'm the god of knowledge, not ideas. You can fill a book with knowledge but it still cannot create anything." He stated, before flying upwards, looking down and shouting once again. "And if you want to weaken the thing Eliphon, stop empowering it. Every time you age part of it to nothingness you literally feed it." He shouted. Then, the worlds moved, the creature dragging them together in an attempt to sunder them. Arzian's beak opened wide for a moment, as he did have an idea, though he would say nothing of it to the others for now.

With a few flaps of his wings, he was away soaring across Ignus in search of those descended from him. He moved with great speed, watching as the two planet's gravities started to affect each other. The ground shook and cracked, while columns of magma jutted out, lashing at streams of water that had saught the sky and forming hard clumps of stone that remained suspended between the two fluids. Though he ignored these still. The world would not be able to take much more. Not like this.

It was then he arrived at the dragon's home. The creatures were apprehensive at first, not having seen him before, or knowing him as their father. Yet he would not speak of such matters either, for they were unimportant. Instead, the details were of the creature assaulting them, the threat it posed, and Arzian's plan. The creatures, while not fully understanding his plan, seemed to understand what he was, though afterwards he did promise to answer three questions that they might propose to him on any subject. After that, they were off once again, Any large enough to fly following him, the legion of wings casting a shadow behind him, though they would need for long, as they started to ascend, higher and higher. The weaker dragons fell away, returning to the hold and awaiting to see if the others had succeeded.

Once they were in the atmosphere, any who fell away would not survive, however, no more effort was required to fly, instead, effort was spent into conserving energy for what would come next, and ensuring that they would be able to live in the cold vacuum. Not all survived. By the time they landed on the surface of the moon, only a dozen were left, and they quickly set to work, pushing it towards Oblivion, aiming to crush it's physical form.

350 Eliphon let out a sigh of relief, as the tentacles about to reach him disappeared. The tentacles themselves, while not made entirely of spirits anymore, still had enough for the underworld to be filled once again with souls, wandering aimlessly about. Eliphon concentrated on his weave, focusing directly on the planet Meerac, nudging its fate towards the required outcome. The star glowed beneath Oblivion's skin even brighter.

"Stop," the creature yelled. "Please, I was only filling my purpose, the purpose y-"

The rest of the creature's words were lost by the collosal explosion that followed. The energy raced outward in a spherical shape.

"If anyone can create a shield," Eliphon shouted. "Do it now."

At the corner of his eyes, Arzian saw Marama. They was covered from head to toe in cuts and burns, and had a ferocious look on their face.

"My moon," they said. "Nobody uses my moon as a weapon..." Their face formed a crazy smile. "Without calling me first." Marama yanked at their chains, this time moving yhe moon towards their planets.

As the wave of energy raced towards the interjoined planets, Oblivion landed on the side of Rephlon. He was now about the size of a mountain. Desperately, the monster looked around, hopind to find more creatures to absorb. But his act of smashing the planets together left mostly dead all around it. It looked around, hoping to find an entrance to the Underworld, when a shadow suddenly appeared above it. Oblivion screamed, as it saw the moon itself rushing to crush it beneath.

Yurius created another large portal between the exploding star and the combined planets. It led to an isolated place in the middle of space lightyears from there, where the blast would do no harm. Any portion of the blast headed toward the gods or the planets would be redirected to that point by the portal. Once the worst of the blast was over, Yurius released his portal and found himself enshrouded in complete darkness. They would need a new star, and soon, for the planets needed something to provide gravity and the lifeforms that inhabited them needed something to provide light and energy.

What remained of the monster seemed to be well-handled by Arzian, Marama, and the Dragons. The worst of the fighting was over and what Oblivion's final moments would be dealt with by the others. That matter well in hand, Yurius's next concern was to assess the damage to the inhabitants of the two worlds and begin rebuilding. He could already hear the wails of pain and despair in the prayers of those who still lived. The planets were devastated. Even in the face of complete darkness, they must get ahead of this tragedy while they could. He must have an accurate account of all the carnage as soon as possible.

He went to Zokmod and said, "The worst of the fighting is over, and so now it is time to assess the damage done and rebuild. I want you to organize the Legions into smaller groups and have them travel the two planets to maintain order in the wake of this cataclysm. Ensure that law and order are upheld and rioting is kept to a minimum. Where the damage and casualties are at their worst, I want the Legions to set up triage points to provide medical aid to the wounded as well as food and shelter for survivors who lost their homes. Where possible, begin to organize and aid the reconstruction of destroyed homes and cities. I want a full report of the damage on both planets and the steps we are taking to mitigate it within 48 hours. I leave it to you, lieutenant."

Zokmod began to organize the Legions into smaller groups. Even with the casualties they took, the army still had nearly all the men it started with, and so when all was said and done, they had 100 teams of roughly 10,000 men, give or take a few thousand. The teams were to head to key locations throughout the planets, the most heavily populated or the most important to trade and commerce before the cataclysm. Along the way, they would leave smaller groups where they were needed in smaller villages or settlements to begin healing and rebuilding. Within two days, everyone who needed medical help or help rebuilding should have a faction of the Immortal Legions to provide help and support. Zokmod would return to the Arbiter's Meadow with his network of spies to organize the efforts of the men via telepathy and messenger from that centralized location.

After the Legions departed the battlefield, Yurius went to Realiti, who was still trying to maintain physical laws in the absence of stars.

"My lady, it seems the worst of the fighting is over for now. I think now is a good time to create a new star to provide gravity and stability anew to the planets and their inhabitants. We will also have to decide whether to leave the two planets as one or to re-separate them and create a new portal."

Yurius looked to the humans below, seeing to their dead and wounded now that the fighting was over...

"I would also suggest you find a place for your new creations when stability is finally returned. You created them in the midst of a horrible battle and many were born only to die moments later. Now they find themselves in a world they do not understand where none know them and they have no proper place. They will need guidance and succor. It may not be my place to say, but I think you owe them a great debt for their actions here today in the face of such monstrosity; you must shepherd them well, lest they suffer unjustly for your neglect."

Realiti took deep breaths as she started to weld the two planets together. It was almost completely dark, but without Oblivion she managed to hold the planets together and keep a stable gravity. The moment the gravity held as did the two planets, Realiti stood to face Yurius who still loomed taller. Drawing herself up to face him, she spoke.

"Young god, it was never my intention to leave these humans to their own devices. I will make a world for them on which they will thrive. I have already decided what I will do with them, and interference from any god besides Azrian is not acceptable. As for a new inhabitable place, I must first ask the permission of Eliphon.

Realiti then turned towards Eliphon, bowing deeply. "My lord, granted your approval I seek the permission to create several new worlds. For these remains of Ignus and Rephlon are not suitable. We need a world for us gods, a world for humans and Immortal Legions, a world for these wizards, and of course a new star."

Once it was done, Arzian left the dragons to return to the moon to its rightful place, parts of Oblivion's body smeared upon it like an insect that had been swatted on a pane of glass, though the majority of its form was still below, which was where the god himself went to. He examined the corpse from the air for a moment, returning to his regular form, and seeming like nothing but a fleck of black against the sky, one that was slowly descending towards the lifeless form. He arrived at the head, Arzian peering into its dull glassy eyes for a moment. "I know your still in there, brother, but I can't allow you to come back. [sub]Not yet at least[/sub]." Arzian lifted a hand, his claws slowly appearing. He held them up to the light for a moment, before driving them into the soft tissue, the eye bursting and allowing the god to continue this dissection. First, the remains of the eye sack was torn out, followed by a circle of dark bone, then, brains, chucks being removed by the handful, till Arzian found what he was looking for, or, more accurately, knew what he was looking for was inside the chuck that was in the palm of his hand. There was a strange glow from within the substance, and every so often, a flicker of purple electricity would come from it, lapping at the air as if tasting it. The god moved quickly, finding a stream of water and telling the beast he made, that he would now name Belzian, to collect it. Keep it secret, Keep it safe were the instructions given, and the creature emerged quickly to take the matter.

After that, Arzian moved towards the other gods, joining them in their discussion. He examined both worlds for a moment, taking the knowledge of living beings on both globes. The grounds of both were shattered, the collisions of the two combined with the moon had played havoc with them, slaughtering many as buildings were no longer able to support themselves. He shook his head. "The planets are to stay like this," Arzian stated before his eyes turned to Oblivion. "A monument to the fall of one of our kind." After that, he looked to the group again. "We are to migrate all life that we can from these worlds to the new ones that are created, these worlds are shattered, wounded, dying. All that will remain here is my creation, who will act as a lookout for any creature that comes too close in. The Drakhold", the name for where the dragons made their home, or, the one that Arzian assigned to it at least, "is to be moved as well, suspended in the sky above the new world to act as wardens and watchers. Magic shall be removed from humans. And I while I shall interfere with humans, others will as well. Khaline will have had her hand in them before their twilight comes." He informed, then his eyes fell to Yurius. "Though that does raise one issue. Your soldiers have resulted in a wounding of nature, that which the Simians depend upon to survive, and will cause starvation of the masses, however, this also affects the Yammu, so I'm sure the lady of the waves will want a word with you as well. That also raises the next question, where is Khaline."

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The twin wolves stood over the godess's form, guarding her against any that might seek to attack her. Loyalty to the pack. Defence of those who can benefit the pack later. An important lesson. They were growling at the moment, only letting Khal pass through to give Khaline food, water, and medicine. She was healing quickly, the simian watching as the burn marks from the lightning seemed to fade away. The goddess spoke a word under her breath, the wolves moving her body towards the thorny wall that surrounded the camp, before she gave a single gesture, inviting Khal over. The woman's movements were slow, tentative, nervous, though she joined the goddess's side anyway. There was a sharp, sudden pain in her neck as the wall lashed at her, driving a branch through her throat. "Imbibe the spirit," Khaline whispered before the branch moved back, and the woman's throat began to heal itself. Within her body was a spirit that had occupied the wall, its strength adding to hers. "The packs needs peace for now. The forest fire has come and gone, giving new ground for exansion and growth, yet we cannot do so while we lash at stone. Give the others your newfound powers." She informed, pressing her head against Khal's, as tendrils from the walls began to slide into the camp, selecting three dozen of those descended from the original children she had blessed. "Your kind are already stronger, faster, more cunning, than the average simmian. With this, you shall truly hold nature's blessing." With that, the godess fell back, her eyes closing as she drifted off to rest once again.

350 The moon slammed into Rephlon, crushing the monster Oblivion. The impact of the explosion drove the two planets apart, though a bridge of rock and debris still connected both planets. Ignus and Rephlon stood on that bringe, listening to the gods' discussion about their fate.

"They are giving up on us, brother," Ignus whispered. She had a deep cut in her stomach, and one of her legs was broken.

Rephlon merely grunted in reply. He was in an eben worse shape than Ignus, with his arm missing and covered in several serious looking cuts. But Ignus understood.

"Yes, you'll fight for your life, I'm sure. Life will prosper once more. But I-" she took a breath "I don't think I can heal myself."

Rephlon held Ignus's hand and kkissed her gently. He looked deep into her eyes, then lay a hand on her stomach.

"I understand," she said. They shared a long kiss, and as they did their planets began to change. The bridge if debris began thinning, as the earth began returning to those two planets. The worlds were to be smaller, and different. But maybe they had a chance.

The bridge broke up, and so did Ignus and Rephlon. They were different. Rephlon's fur now had a reddish tinge to it, whereas Ignus was taller, and looked around in a less fearless way.

Suddenly the sky around them lit up. Before the gods' eyes, the remains of Meerac took shape, and millions of stars filled the cosmos.

Eliphon stared at Realiti, and when he spoke, exhastion flowed out of him. "You may do whatever you like," he said. "This world has no ruler, and even if it did, I am not him. I simply play my role."
His voice suddenly became somber. "Realiti, I will need to leave soon. The Underworld is in disarray, and somebody needs to watch for when Oblivion will try to rise again, he will do it from there. Do not follow me, your role serves the living, not the dead. All I have is one request from you, before I go. I'd like for you to have my child."

"I am not so sure that the problem of nature is so great as you believe. Khaline is not the source of every plant, animal and crop that can be found on either of the two planets any more than I am the source of morality or you, Arzian, are the source of knowledge. In my absence, right and wrong would still exist, and in your absence, I doubt we would all simply become drooling idiots for the sudden extinction of knowledge. If Eliphon were to die, would all mortals live forever and all stars cease to meet their ends? The sun was just eradicated completely for a brief moment, and yet..." Yurius pointed to Tesni "...clearly she still lives. Our aspects are not dependent completely upon us nor are our fates completely entwined with our aspects. So it is with Khaline. Her wound does not preclude nature from doing what it will. I cannot believe that the laws of our world are so feeble as to rely on a few flawed individuals, no matter how powerful they happen to be.

Even if that were so, I cannot believe that makes us above right and wrong. No matter how important her role, she has committed horrible atrocities and what she received was a direct result of the enmities she created between herself and my men of her own free will; she finally faced the consequences of her actions, if not the true justice I believe she still deserves to face. You can be assured my men will be severely reprimanded for their lack of discipline, losing focus and disobeying orders, but I will not chide them for defending their lives against a monster with no apparent purpose in her life but to subject innocents who have no quarrel with her to murder and slavery. Her status as a Goddess does not exempt her from the consequences of her actions, nor any of us. Karma comes for us all and we must not delude ourselves into thinking our divinity excludes us from it."

"Lastly, whether nature depends on her or not, whether she deserves her fate or not, is irrelevant, because there is a very easy solution to this problem. I have in my possession spirits of nature, particularly of plants and animals, that Khaline was not able to kidnap like a thief in the night. If one of you can free them from the spell that Khaline has placed them under, they can create plants just by virtue of being nature spirits. All these problems would be solved and all it would take is for someone to simply choose to do the right thing and give my enslaved friends their free wills back. It seems like a very simple and straightforward proposition to me. Now, as for the fate of the two worlds..."

Yurius turned from Arzian and to the others.

"We have heard Arzian's proposals for the inhabitants of these worlds and their fates. He would have us move all species currently residing on one of the two worlds to different planets of his choosing. I would raise an objection for your consideration. This is the only world that these species have ever known. Their entire lives are here. Even if we tell them to leave, many very likely will not even want to. These planets are theirs just as much as they are ours. Do we truly believe it is our place to command individuals to leave their homes if they have no desire to do so? I believe it would be proper and right for us to offer that option to those who would wish to leave, but I do not think we should simply force them all to leave whether they want to or not. They have free will and can make their own choices. We are not tyrants, nor should we aspire to become tyrants. They would not love us for it and we would be doing them no favors if they are strong enough to rebuild their lives in spite of the tragedy they have faced, as I believe they will prove to be. Especially with the help of Realiti's humans.

What say you all? Will we force our will upon them simply because we are more powerful or will we allow them to live their lives the way they choose to? Are we Gods who truly care for our worshipers? Or are we dictators with no regard for any person's desires but our own? Please, I beg of you, choose wisely."

Returning from her bow, Realiti looked at Eliphon. "Of course I shall bear your child my lord. It would be my honour." Then she listened to Yurisus proposal. The point he made did have some truth ringing in its depths. "I will not remove those who wish to stay from these worlds, but they are free to move around the other worlds. I beg you Azrian to help fix the broken Interstellar. With the birth of these new stars, I shall pick one we could make a habitable system of worlds around. Are any in objection? Before I create these worlds however, I shall birth a child of Eliphon's descent. If we are in agreement, I suggest we all talk to our races and ask their opinion. Plan how you would like your worlds, and how they shall be fashioned. A list," Realiti flicked her hand carelessly and a scroll fell into Yurius's hands. "Would be much appreciated."

Yurius unrolled the scroll to its full length and cut it into several segments. He rolled up each segment with the intention of handing one to each God present.

"I will do as you ask and instruct the Legions providing medical aid and reconstruction support to gather refugees who lost their homes and wish to leave for greener pastures. I will also instruct them to ask these refugees what kind of planet they want. Their answers will be recorded here. This information will take time to gather and much of it may be conflicting given the multitude of viewpoints we will have from all different people, but it will be a starting point. In the meantime, I give another piece of this scroll to each of you on which to write your own opinions or those of the people who worship you."

He handed a scroll each to Eliphon and Realiti first. To Realiti he said, "As their creator, you ought to be the one to speak to the humans about their desires, milady." He placed the scroll in her hand, and on a sudden impulse, he gripped hers firmly in desperation in both of his own hands before he let her go "I also ask you to consider using your power over mental faculties to give my men back their free wills, which Khaline has stripped from them cruelly. Being forced to act as the puppet of another...they do not deserve such a horrid fate. Whatever problems you have with me, I ask you to take pity on their souls and allow them to become the masters of their own destinies once more, free to dance to their own tunes rather than to Khaline's twisted melody." That said, he released his grip on her hand, picked up another two scrolls from his pile, and moved on.

Next, he handed one to Tesni, then another to Marama.

He walked next to Arzian and handed him two scrolls. "I doubt Khaline or the Small Tooth Simians will be interested in anything I have to ask of them. I will leave a scroll for Khaline and hers in your possession. They will not accept medical aid or moral support so long as it is the Legions offering, but perhaps their pride will allow them to accept help so long as it does not come from me or my men."

He walked next over to where Goddess Ignus still stood and opened a portal next to her to where Rephlon was on his own planet, newly separated from hers. He handed each of them a scroll. "You are not mere bystanders. Your opinions matter as much as any of ours. If you do not wish to see your planets destroyed or abandoned, fight for them. Mingle among the species of your worlds and learn of their needs and wants. Write your findings and your opinions about what needs done here and make them known to all. We shall all deliberate together, as friends and as family. If you say there is hope for your respective planets and those who wish to remain, then I will fight with you tooth and nail to make it happen." He left the portal open and walked away to give the two privacy. It would close on its own, in time, but they could have a few more moments together if they wished.

All the scrolls distributed, he waited for the portal between the planetary icons to naturally dissipate and then created another back to the meadow, where he instructed Zokmod to tell all the separated groups providing support to gather refugees and their desires as he described to the others earlier. Within a week, reconstruction had begun in earnest and Yurius's scroll was slowly filling with the ideas of the growing number of refugees. As expected, their were many conflicting ideas; some wanted a planet full of forests and jumgles, others wanted one of stone and civilization, and others still simply wanted a planet identical to Rephlon before the attack so they could just pick up where they left off. There was somewhat of a common thread, however: it turned out that most did not care precisely what kind of planet they had, as long as they had resources in abundance and safe havens for their families where they could know lives of peace and fulfillment. Now that his list was coming together, he simply needed to wait until the next meeting of the Gods. Hopefully they could get along long enough for there to BE another meeting. It would be best if they could all deliberate amicably about what kind of universe to create, but with a bunch as labile as this one, you could never really predict what would happen next...

Arzian tilted his head to one side. "Are you questioning the god of knowledge? You literally are questioning the god who knows everything that is known, consciously and subconsciously." He sighed and shook his head. "Once the worlds are complete, I am calling a conference of the gods. It is time you, all of you, were educated in what we are as much as who we are. For now I shall merely state that the relationship between us and our aspects are symbiotic. If the god Rephlon dies, then so to does the planet, and vice versa. Your people will have caused much harm in wounding Khaline, and the nature spirits are that are borne of her will have lost power as well. You fail to understand how much of an impact we have on the world, perhaps because your own nature has no solid consequences if you are wounded. Though Khaline is by no means the worst one of us that could have been wounded. And you wound Eliphon would not cause people to stop dying, for he is not responsible for death. Nor did I state that the world should be one of my choosing. You work in absolutes Yurius, perhaps a fault of your aspects, perhaps of your origin. As for being a tyrant, I would highlight how you attack a settlement that contains the descendants of those ideological opposed to you who have yet to do any harm, and how you did not provide a fair trial so long ago, and how you instated a monarchy upon the simians instead of letting them chose their own government, and how to govern themselves. We are all tyrants here. We all have absolute control over our dominions. We can delegate, but we cannot every relinquish power, not without cutting it out at least."

When past the two scraps of paper, one for him, and the other for Khaline, he tossed both of them aside. "I do not care what shape the world is, nor do I have any ties to the lady of thorns. She has done nothing for me, nor I for her." Afterwards, he turned to Eliphon and Yurius. "I understand that the theme of this meeting is ignoring my words, but consider this a warning. You plant the seed of decay into reality itself, and decay of reality leads to..." Arzian turned, looking to the corpse of Oblivion, "I have stowed that things power away for now, but should you go through with this act, the beast wiill not rise from the underworld to reclaim its powers, but from your womb. I give my knowledge, and do so freely." He stated, before leaving, floating upwards for a moment, before his form shot across the sky. He arrived at the Drakhold quickly, many of the beasts tending to their wounds, and those that had survived pushing the moon had just returned as well. "I owe you three questions, and the dozen that aided me shall each be granted a boon of their choice as well. Ask away."

350 "Conference," said Eliphon. "Well that could be nice." He took the parchment, and wrote A new Underworld. He then gestured to Realiti to follow him and decended into his tower. Once his foot touched down, the tower began to sink into the ground at a slow, steady pace.

"Come, my pair," he said to Realiti. "Once the tower sinks completely it will reappear in the underworld. We have a limited amount of time."

Rephlon didn't seem to be able to read, and even if he did, didn't really seem to care. Ignus took and wrote A world where me and my brother will both be able to set foot on.

As Yurius turned to leave, Ignus called behind him, "I think you should know, kind one. I do not make weapons anymore. Thank you for your kindness, and I hope you make good use with what I have made you so far."

Marama didn't seem to care much. All they did was build a small temple on the moon and go to sleep. Tesni was nowhere to be found.

360 It took ten years for both worlds to finally take spherical shape. The process left much devestation as it went. Many plants and animals perished, and the lack of aggression caused by Khaline's hibernation made the situation all the worse. Large wastelands now covered the planets.

The planet Ignus seemed to suffer less. Many mountains were now gone, and a large plain stood in its place. Drakhold was probably the most devestated of the lot. Only a small percentage of the dragons survived Oblivion's rampage, and because of Arzian's adventure in the moon, only six of them had the ability to fly. These six quickly gained the standing of heroes, and where from then on the Six Lords of Drakhold. The strangest thing though, happened in the southern mountains of the planet. A large forest, easily the size of a country was torn away from Rephlon and grew on Ignus. The Spirit of that forest quickly learnt from fire Spirits of Ignus and the dragons how to feed off fire, and the trees soon adapted to it as well, feeding off magma instead of water. Their wood was heatproof, and their leaves became a fiery shade of orange. The Grots who dwelled there began taking the characteristics of the trees as well, and gained the ability to cast fire on the way. The Hot Mine Simian tribe migrated there, and managed to survive, albeit much struggle.

Rephlon, on the other hand, was devestated badly. About half of its wildlife perished, and many forests declined into wastelands. Cracks appeared all across the land, and were soon filled with seawater from Ignus. Rephlon split into three continents.

The western continent consisted of Khline's forest, a large wasteland which bordered in the south with Goria's mountains and beyond the the Plains of the Gods, now with only Arzian's temple standing there. Past these lands was the twisted Goldor forest, the Ferrous kingdom and what used to be Greenbow, now a haunted barren land with a small village of necromancer Alfar. Finally, a half isle with many dormant volcanoes stood there. This continent was a harsh one, with Khaline's mangearie and many fearsome beasts, some from the time of Rephlon's depression. Khal and the other spirit imbued each took control of a tribe of about five hundred members each. A general rule was that once a tribe reached more than a thousand strong it would split, for otherwise it will steer too close tol becoming a kingdom of Yurius's design, and thus against the natural order of the world.

The middle and largest continent consisted of mainly the Longtooth Empire, or at least, what used to be. Though the Longtooth kingdom still standing, many other portions of the empire were either wiped out from existance or dissended into anarchy. Many areas were barren lands, some lands weresiezed by devotees of Khaline and other kingdoms declared their independance. In the center of the continent, a crater was formed where the moon collided, easily the size of half the continent itself. It quickly filled with seawater, giving Durbag the nickname of The Ring Continent. At the southern coast of the continent, a group of city states and island kingdoms formed, the Seamen alliance. They began building ships and learning to sail, hoping to exploit the new sea in their area. And the Grots closed off the northern part of Durbag forest, creating a small "kingdom" of their own.

The Eastern continent was the smallest. Mamba's tower was there, as well as Arbiter's Meadow. The Alfar built a city surrounding the tower, waiting patiently for their goddess, who seemed to have disappeared in the years preceding Oblivion's attack. Of all the Simian kingdoms who were once there, only Stonebow still stood and prospered.

With a polite nod towards Azrian, Realiti added to the conversation. "I do believe a gathering of gods would prove to be a rather good idea. We have grown to wild, too....chaotic. Like our creations, we sprung from few to many. While this may be a rather foremost problem, we mustn't war amongst ourselves. We have more at stake than our creations, my wizards for example."

She then followed Eliphon into the tower, where soon after she became pregnant, and produced offspring of Eliphon. He grew up in the tower, such as a king would, all the while Realiti's humans started to form a small village within sight of Eliphons tower. Every time a god finished writing on some of the scroll Yurius passed out, it would appear on their alter. Usually, Chanter, the presiding leader of the village brought the note but one or twice it was his friend, Merlyn. It would kill her to create so much at once, so she waited ten years for her powers to store and collect.

Year 350, six months after Oblivion’s attack:

Reconstruction efforts were going smoothly and the Simians were getting back on their feet slowly but surely. The civil war that wracked the empire before the attack seemed to abate somewhat so that all sides could rebuild from the damage that had been done. The list of refugees’ desires for a new planet had been finished long ago, but there still was not any signal from the other gods about a new meeting or the creation of more worlds. Yurius wondered if there ever would be or if the others had simply decided they would rather not deal with one another anymore.

Despite the burgeoning reconstruction, several problems remained. First, food. As Arzian predicted, plant life would no longer grow as it once did. So far, the Simians in more largely populated areas were subsisting on food stored in warehouses before the calamity and what little wildlife still remained in the wilds to be hunted from the forest or fished from lakes or the new sea that had appeared on Rephlon. This would run out before long, however. A more permanent solution had to be found.

The second problem facing the reconstruction was the sudden loss of trade with the destruction of the interstellar portal, which was still destroyed. The metal and gems Simians received from dragons and the hot miners were instrumental for the metallurgical trade on Rephlon. Without steel to work, soldiers had no weapons or armor that gave them a critical edge in holding off violent followers of Khaline who meant them harm nor did builders have iron and steel for building or horse grooms have metal for shoeing horses or any of the many other critical functions metallurgy provided Simian society. They also could not receive fish or sea goods such as salt or seaweed that was abundant on Ignus. Though Rephlon had its own sea now, the Rephlonians were not yet as skilled at milking the sea for its goods as the hot miners or the dragons. In addition to the loss of goods, the merchants who facilitated the trade of goods were losing a fortune for the inability to trade off their stores of wood, furs, and other animal products which were worthless to Rephlonians but invaluable to hot miners with no access to their ancestral home and dragons with a taste for the exotic.

The rich merchants losing profit from the loss of the Interstellar had a lot of clout in royal courts and so there was great political pressure on both Emperor Turkdarian and Queen Lilibut to do something about it immediately. That was the reason Yurius now found himself treating directly with both the Empire’s minister of finance, Hamilton, and the Simian formerly in charge of leading expeditions through the portal for the largest trading company in Stonebow City, Aramis. Instead of praying to him, as usual, the leaders of the two greatest cities on Rephlon thought it best to petition Yurius’s aid a bit more directly for a problem that had upset so many applecarts and sent two very influential people to ask his aid in rebuilding the Interstellar in person. Hamilton had asked Yurius to take Aramis and fix the portal. “Let not your godly problems affect us normal folk,” he said haughtily, chin raised high enough to look straight down his nose at Yurius, and left without even waiting to hear Yurius’s answer. The man was completely full of himself and entirely too absorbed in the privilege of his position, Yurius thought. Aramis, however, was a down to earth and very relatable individual. He was an entrepreneur who saw opportunity for great profit in adventuring and he had a hearty appetite for the unknown. His profession as a traveling merchant moving between Rephlon and Ignus to trade goods suited him perfectly

The trade problem was without a doubt a huge detriment to both commoners and merchants who needed hot mine’s sea goods and Dragon metal ore and jewels. And who knew? Maybe those races were having more luck growing food than Rephlonians were. Perhaps repairing the portal was the solution to both problems. Yurius had no idea if he could manage to repair it or not, but he decided to take Aramis as a guide to Arzian’s Temple and see if there wasn’t something he could do to help.

In truth, there was also another reason he wanted to visit the temple. Zokmod’s network of spies reported that before the battle, Wysdom was seen entering, but no one saw her leave. Furthermore, merely an hour after she went in, she was seen on the battlefield where the Korombe was miles away swinging Yurius’s hammer around and making portals like she was born to it. Clearly, there was something in that temple capable of bestowing divine power and Yurius wanted to know what exactly it was. Perhaps it was something that could help him free his prisoners’ minds from Khaline’s influence.

As Yurius and Aramis got closer to the temple, Aramis did something very odd. He pulled out a small container, pulled a waxy substance out, and placed it in his ears. Aramis noticed the curiosity at this action in Yurius’s glowing red eyes and explained.

“Beeswax,” he said. “There’s some bell or chime or something inside the temple that causes anyone hearing it to go insane. Anyone who braves the Rephlon-Hot Mine-Drakhold trade route learns pretty quickly to use beeswax before approaching the portal to prevent themselves from hearing it, lest they lose their sanity unnecessarily. “

The life of a merchant trader was extraordinarily risky, Yurius reflected. The amount of wealth generated by the triangular trade between Rephlonians, hot miners, and dragons must be enormous to make men take such risks with their own mental health.

That, or adventurers like Aramis were just crazy already.

With Aramis as his guide and not knowing who or what he would find inside, Yurius followed his adventuring companion up the front steps of Arzian’s Temple and through the front door.

    352-400

She was awake, the air rushing through her lungs as she ran through the thick jungle that had sprouted had around her. She and it were now feeding each other. As she dwelt within it, the animals swelled in size, and the difference between the generations were massive. Lizards the size of houses and beyond started to wander the jungle, either adept at parting the trees as if they were wandering through a veil of paper. Others took a less subtle approach, simply battering the trees to one side in pursuit of their prey. Packs of great cats prowled the place at night, preying on the smaller rodents and the stags and the deer that now ran through the place. The Hunt was endless. To the Goddess, this was a paradise. To her followers, a proving ground. To anyone or anything else not attuned to the place, a hazard.

Politically, she quickly revoked the limit of one thousand per tribe. The number was arbitrary. The only that would ever decide the size of a pack was if the land could sustain it, and if the people wanted to remain in the pack. Warlords would rise and fall within them, and only those who knew how to sustain their tribe would ever succeed. She did however, give directions of migration. Some went to the mountains to the south, settling amongst the base of the mountains, or the peaks if they felt particularly brave. Though few did. It was safer at the base of the mountains, the plants benefiting from the rainfall and providing a good food for both the tribe, and the animals that they would eat. The Simians here took their surroundings for their tribal name, resting beneath mountains, and near the plain of the gods, acting as its gatekeepers. The Peakgate tribe was born. They were the most organised of their kin, the surroundings making them more amicable to working with others, and to honing their strength beyond simply their physicals bodies. Mining began shortly after their arrival.

To the frozen north another tribe ventured, only the strongest surviving against the cold, and producing a tribe that was even larger than the already blessed simians, these being a foot or so taller than most. The majority settled along the coast, using the ocean to give food while they moved inland, scouting the area for anything that might be of value. There was little bronze for them to make equipment from, and so, they settled on wood and bone, both being useful tools for hunting the great seals and whales. In the later, they found oil, and amongst the great frozen plains, a variety of strange plants were found. The group took up the craft of Mamba, decorating their ice huts with bones and strange charms. Now, the Coldskull tribe laid claim to the area.

Those that remained closest to the jungle became the most savage, perhaps because of their proximity to the goddess, though that was not to say they were feral. Instead, they were simply more prone to fighting each other and hunting for enjoyment. They wore garments made of scaled hides and the thick leather pelts of the beasts. They took shards of obsidian, and attached them to their arrows to make them more lethal, and embedded them in clubs to make swords that would break off into the cuts, keeping them open. They would also build the greatest temple to Khaline, a great pyramid laced with vines with a flat top, upon which rested a tree with a throne weaved from its branches. The Bleeding Wound would be the name of this tribe. And they would grow to tame the beasts that wandered the jungle, riding them and using them to hunt.

Yet the godesses herself did more then hunt. Her falcon had been lost, and so, she sought a replacement. In this, she found a great flying lizard, not a dragon, for its wings were formed of a membrane found under its arms that connected to its body, nor did it have the ability to breath fire. Though it was still ferocious, and Khaline's blessing improved it further. She named him Khavodon.

350 Darkness still covered the world. With only the stars to light it, Rephlon and Ignus appeared to be held in everlasting twilight. Ignus watched the darkness in growing concern. While her world could survive the darkness, she knew that Rephlon couldn't. She touched her belly. The child was not ready yet, but she could hardly wait. She stepped down Gures, her planet's most active volcano, and gulped down several gallons of magma. Then she walked across her world, until she reached a small cave near the sea. She entered, and went over to the goddess, lying down on a stone slab.

"Tesni," she whispered. "Great forger. Queen of the fire above and below, you need to wake up."

Tesni stirred. She opened her eyes and tried to sit up. Ignus took the goddess's hands, and placed them on her belly, drawing in what remained of Meerac's power. Her womb swelled. She fell to the groung and cried out in pain. The planet shook. Wisps of bright energy came out of Ignus forming a bright sphere between the worlds. Material from both planets flew up there, covering the flaming ball. When thr year 351 finally came across, a new star filled the void between the worlds. It was smaller that Meerac, less nourishing. But it would do.

"Well," Ignus gasped. "Now all living creatures of the worlds can see Ignus's bright falures. Thanks alot mom."

360 When Abel, son of Eliphon and Realiti was ten years of age, Eliphon's tower finally decended completely into the Underworld. Abel was a small child, not much taller than Ignus, and had a much slimmer build. His features resmbled his mother mostly, with flowing red hair, and similar facial features, albeit a slightly darker skin. His eyes, however, had a golden colour, with a slit pupil.

For the first time in his life, Abel saw the world. He looked to his mother, with bright golden eyes. And asked for her permission to wonder.
