I am glad it was helpful.

In my own main WIP, they use coil guns, good old fashion gas-powered,
and the most advanced species uses a type of fusion propelled projectile
    weapon.

Though plasma is far superior to lasers, when it comes to dealing with
    armored units. :)

I just got a message in my email inbox that a friend had left a message for me on Facebook, and to please click the link to view it.

That friend has been dead since 2013.

    I'm a little suspicious.

I am currently reading Iliad by Homer and the way he describes the preparations of heroes for a battle - this whole process of putting on an armor, helmet, sword, and so on - strikes me as very similar to the way it is depicted in modern action-packed movies. The only difference is of course that modern protagonists have more up-to-date equipment.

I wonder if there is a direct inspiration.

Basically the only kind of musical I'd watch would be the kind where the characters burst into song in places such as in their car, the shower, at a karaoke, or when super wasted and coming home with friends from an evening of bar hopping.

Clouds are a lot like trophy wives: they are constantly reinventing themselves in myriads of alterations, to keep you fascinated, to keep you mesmerized by their exquisite shapes & appearance

And to largely distract you from their utter lack of substance

I suppose so...but unlike clouds, their bodies tend to turn out like rotten fruit.

Ah, but I was reflecting on clouds and the clouds similarities to trophy wives

I hadn't been thinking much on trophy wives to be honest

As a Southern Californian, I've been distracted with clouds & cloud formations that have been more regular the last couple years then I remembered in the rest of my life

Real clouds were generally a rare occurrence; trophy wives are a dime a baker's dozen and thus I don't wonder much at them at all

A loss leader I reckon; running costs top the graph and five years down the line, the release fees are extortionate.

Alan Watts was quite an interesting philosopher, though I don't exactly agree with his zen philsophy, his analysis of Christian prudishness sounds pretty spot on to me! :D
Each part if this lecture is just under half an hour, so not very long. Don't worry, it's not endless droning, he has some real poetry and even humour involved.

Son of a bitch, I really miss free thinking.

I think I have been alive too long and hence have been able to witness a subtle decline in freedom of speech and an increase in the way truth has been manipulated to serve the manipulators of resources.

    Time for bed I guess.

You think freedom of speech is in decline? Critical thinking and intelligent commentary for sure, but I'd say freedom of speech has grown way too fast for its own good.

You may be right, it has gotten awfully noisey "out there", I am personally dumbfounded by what has come to the forefront of our daily fodder.

I hear you there. Noise is the perfect term for it. I used to be into news and politics until it turned into a bunch of lepers circle-jerking.

All the news does for me lately is make me start drinking and awaiting the end of the world. I deliberately avoid all news now. If I'm lucky, this will enable me to forget Trump is even the president!

As I said, time for bed.

It is up to the next generations to think critically and act upon their conclusions about who is really calling the shots for them and their precarious future. I have done my bit for King and Country.

You sure you're from Alabama? Kidding... I hear you. I need a few scotches before I can look at anything political these days.
