That's incredible and very inspiring. I'm glad you posted this. I'd like to know more. For example, how much (and what type) marketing are you doing? Thanks

For the first two novels, I barely did any marketing at all. I basically didn't know crap and just uploaded my word files, slapped together a couple covers in Photoshop using public domain images and put them out at 99 cents each. I told some people on a couple message boards I frequented and my personal Facebook page, but that was it as far as marketing.
I didn't really start doing serious marketing until late last year. I did some Facebook ads, but honestly the return on those wasn't great. I've done a bunch of promotions with the first books in my series and put out ads on a lot of different mailing lists including BookBarbarian and BargainBooksy. I've tried to get a BookBub but have not as yet been successful. I have an author Facebook and Twitter account and an author blog as well. I don't do mailing lists though. I probably should but it's difficult working a full time job, writing a couple thousand words a day and also trying to do marketing. I don't know when I'd have time to put together a news letter.
