Dominatrix + wealth? Fifty shades... Mary Sue is what makes writing collab kick so much ass. Write on your own, and making characters complex, deep and yet distinct from each other is very, very hard. Usually they end up being different aspects or 'remixes' of the writer. That's why Stephen King is so impressive. But write collab and suddenly all the characters are genuinely different people. And none of them are The Main Character, which makes it all so much more multi-layered. Did I just make that way too sober? Anyway, Andreas is a bit like me in that I'm very calculated with my morals and I tend to take life way too seriously. But I'm not pessimistic or cynical, if anything I'm naively optimistic.
Yeah, ever since making an awful Mary Sue at the age of twelve... and being called out on it... I've tried 23x harder to make my characters more realistic. And not-Mary-Sueish. Jeez that character was truly awful why would I ever do such a thing >_> I've tried to make Nyx as dynamic as possible, yet different in a lot of ways from me. Sure, I gave her some of my attributes, but I'm paranoid of being seen as "that-ugh-teenage-writer-who-only-has-mary-sues-and-no-understanding-of-grammar". I guess. (I'm actually a little younger than my profile says but y'know internet safety and I don't want to be treated like a child and such ) Yes. It's incredibly difficult. I have six main characters in my WIP, and sometimes differentiating between them can be hard. I've tried, though, as I said, to give them distinct personalities, and I think I've succeeded there. We'll see when I finish the novel, and try to get it published, I guess.

Yup! She was referring to the Oracle. Edit: I was going to have her say something along the lines of "White people...", but then I realized you never specified if she was white, black, yellow, or blue... I cut that part XD
Sorry about the wait, guys. @Erik-the-Enchanter!, @Domino355, and I have been working on a collab post for a couple days now. It's taking a little longer than anticipated, but I think we're ready now. For what it's worth, I really didn't think anything would come of Samara demanding to be taken to Vetala... then, ten seconds after posting it, I get a PM from Erik, LOL, and it just snowballed from there.
Ah! That's what he meant by collab post, lol. Got it. Ooh, I'm excited to see how all this turns out.
I was in English class today scribbling notes for our RP in my notebook...that's how I know I'm obsessed, lol.
I actually drew a portrait of Nyx a while back in my math binder... I was bored. I can't find it now, but if I ever do, I'll share. XD
I partly based Andreas on someone I used to know from my Kung Fu class. On Tuesday he came back - it was the weirdest thing, having my character standing in front of me, with him wondering why I kept looking at him.
That was... far too brief than I wanted it to be. Oh well. Nyx is sad. When Nyx is sad, she pretends like she's mad, and punches things. [shrug] that's just... how she works? I guess?
Is it... bad that the first thing I thought after reading your post, @Erik-the-Enchanter!, was something along the lines of "Now Nyx can steal her shoes without any problems"?
Lmao, I doubt Nyx would want a dead woman's shoes. It would be a waste to just leave them though...maybe we could donate them to Merryville to help them rebuild?
Well, when I wrote the line originally, I was thinking that she would sell them, since our little band of magical adventurers is a little low on funds... but donating them would be more... noble, I guess? Nyx isn't all that noble, though... She'd probably take the shoes to follow through on her "promise" and leave everything else. She might take the dagger, too, for personal use. We'll see. [shrug]
Well, Nyx is too brave for her own good and can fight pretty decently, but she sure isn't a model student. XD
And we all love her for it, haha. I was probably a little bit like Nyx in high school, I was late almost every day but I still got good grades, lol.
